But, how do I describe something that is a fact, but I want to pretend is a lie perpetrated by some vast conspiracy?

It's not one word, but recently I became aware just HOW MUCH I say the phrase "You know what I mean" and not I want to banish it to hell.

I have made a concious effort to stop saying it and when I slip, or accidentally say the variant "you know", it's often followed by a "damnit, I said it again".
