Exactly! I have no problem with words not in the common lingo that mean something to the group where they are used as the whole point of language is to communicate. Those are the words they have chosen within their group and whether I would choose them or not is a pointless question. What I get annoyed at is when a group (ie, management of companies) latch on to important-sounding words and expect other people to know what they mean/be impressed by someone wielding them and to also use them. If other people do not commonly use your words they have no idea what you are trying to say and you risk looking like a buffoon.I agree with Kara. It's the words that are created or misused, and which are typically used in place of an existing word, which annoy me most.
I grok use of slang used by a subculture, but see no valid reason for management to do likewise.
I've yet to figure out how to leverage a paradigm. Maybe my core competency isn't empowered with scalability; so I can't see the big picture. Maybe if I give 110% and take it to the next level of best practices...Exactly! Note that a doctor using a string of Latin is appropriate to communicate. Would you want to be cut open by someone who says 'the little green and purple bugs' rather than saying what disease they are associated with?

solutionise would be your word of the day here!I've yet to figure out how to leverage a paradigm. Maybe my core competency isn't empowered with scalability; so I can't see the big picture. Maybe if I give 110% and take it to the next level of best practices...

And I cringe when I see the word "Patriot" now. My guard is up til I see if the person using it means caring about what is good for ones country" or MAGAt bs.Thanks to Trump, I now cringe when I hear the word "GREAT!"

For me it's "sad".And I cringe when I see the word "Patriot" now. My guard is up til I see if the person using it means caring about what is good for ones country" or MAGAt bs.
Also the made-up "TDS". Calling people who see Cheetoführer for what he is mentally ill, besides being insulting as intended, shows contempt for real mental illness. For me it's "sad".
You forgot to use synergyI've yet to figure out how to leverage a paradigm. Maybe my core competency isn't empowered with scalability; so I can't see the big picture. Maybe if I give 110% and take it to the next level of best practices...
