I think "brand" (and most of its permutations) is currently the non proper noun at the top of my list for etymological sacrifice.

"I'm a Brand Ambassador" .. "I'm working on my brand" ... "We at flerpdederp are Brand Architects helping you 'raise awareness' for your, um, 'brand'.

Keep the sub-definition that pertains to graphic scarification through red hot implements, and make every one of those 'brand' obsessed useless toilet 'content' creators submit to having an indelible mark "emblazoned" prominently upon their forehead.

Yes, the language has always evolved over time. ...but corporate speak feels so much more dry, colorless and somehow dehumanizing compared to random slang. Gen Z slang for example doesn't bother me nearly as much as corporate speak does.
