I suspect a backhander or two from the contractor were involved, probably both in connection with the bill for this fiasco and for the work originally done at Trump's golf course.

Trump half-asses everything.

It never seems to be about "accomplishing the thing," just "being able to announce the thing (and how great the thing is, and how much better this thing is than that dusky President's vaguely related thing) then announcing what a great job he did."

Come to think of it, it's like some adolescent boys' sexual braggadocio.

If a Trump contractor got paid, we should erect a shrine to celebrate the miracle. No doubt the pool's waters could heal the sick and refinance the bankrupt.
