It's possible, as far as I know, though I don't know if it's possible to connect the debris to a particular tree, as opposed to one of the same species in the same area. Presumably that's one things they'll be looking into as they examine hs chainsaw.
You inow, that kind of makes me wonder if trees have mixed DNA or Homogeneous DNA. I guess its time to look it up.

The issue seems to be that there's insufficient research data about sycamore DNA, as opposed to human DNA, to make it useful evidence in court. If the prosecution tries to rely on evidence derived from traces of tree DNA found on the chainsaw, the forensic expert who produces that evidence will have to explain why the jury can be sure the DNA is that of a sycamore and, if they can be sure of that, how this proves the chainsaw was used to cut down that particular sycamore rather than any other sycamore in the area.

The Times article to which I linked says
The team has consulted experts in chemical science, lumberjacks for advice on chainsaws, and biologists with an expertise in tree DNA.

Officers are hoping that sawdust and tree particles on the culprit’s tools or clothing can be matched back to the tree. However, DNA analysis may be made difficult by the lack of research in this area.
“There are various things they could be looking for, including identifying fragments of sycamore wood on the chainsaw responsible or the clothing of the person who used it,” Gallop said. “In theory, they could even look at the DNA in the fragments although I’m not sure whether anyone will have worked out the DNA sequence specifically for sycamore.”

The large variations in human DNA, proven by huge databases that have grown over the years, mean it can be matched to items such as a murder weapon. Police are looking at whether there is enough academic research to match a specific sycamore to its particles.
“It’s very difficult to know how far you could go with DNA on a tree,” said Professor Patricia Wiltshire, a forensic ecologist, who has been consulted on hundreds of police investigations, and is known in police circles as “Pollen Pat”. “There would have to be a huge database . .. And who would want it for a sycamore?”

However, Wiltshire believes that by examining the shoes, car and clothing of any suspect for sycamore pollen, she could match it to the scene of the crime.

“I know a lot about this stuff. I know a lot about some of these Bill Gates programs. This is not conspiracy, this is a fact. There’s Japanese scientists who have created flying syringes that will mass-vaccinate the populations,” Knight told the board during public comment on his appointment, warning of the dangers of “genetically-modified mosquitoes.”

Ok, ok, ok.

Like seriously. If I were running some sort of crazy conspiracy involving vaccines. I feel like it would be way way less effort, and way more beneficial, long term, to just, I dunno, let the "non believer resistance" die from some virus, versus TRAINING FUCKING MOSQUITOS to vaccinate people against their will

Rep. Santos faces new charges he stole donor IDs, made unauthorized charges to their credit cards

Why the fuck is this man still in Congress? Is this what the Party of Law and Order stands for these days?
He's not yet collected a third the number of indictments the man has who's almost certain to be their presidential candidate next year.

As to "innocent until proven guilty," in what other job would someone facing multiple felony indictments not be, at the very least, suspended on full pay until the matter is resolved?

This is likely impossible, but I'm wondering if there is any leeway for citizens who voted him in to form a voters' coalition to demand his ouster? Seems highly doubtful that his party (cult) will ever shove him out.

I once asked the lady who was monitoring the self checkout area at one of my local Walmarts how I get my employee discount. She gave me an odd look and asked me if I worked there. I replied that, for the last few minutes I've been scanning my purchases, yes!

I didn't get the discount. 😟

Not sure if the minimum wage employees who get advice on how to collect social assistance while employed at Walmart might find the humour there, despite your being a Known Comrade, they don’t know that and could be taken as a Karen moment, disheartening their day.
