It's funny but it tracks so hard that MAGA accepted Elon, and that probably half of them still do - for now at least, that might be changing.
Like, okay so it's obvious why Trump likes Elon, he likes anyone who gives him enough money and that's as deep as it goes. But MAGA? You'd think they would hate him. He's a foreigner, he's a billionaire elite, and he very publicly does and is doing all the things they say they hate billionaire elites for doing - like injecting himself into politics and buying politicians. Like he just openly bought Trump right in front of them, didn't even try to hide it, and they were all straight up like "This is fine!", and it's all for exactly the same reason they like Trump: because Elon goes to the bare minimum to pander to their happy-buttons with "blah blah Woke", which makes them feel seen and happy. That's ALL it takes.
Elon might have ruined that now with his strictly utilitarian stance on H1B visas because foreigners and immigrants are supposed to be bad, and at least a few of them are resenting that he was able to sway their idol off-message with his money.
