I am working the election in Rogers County Oklahoma as a poll worker. I am thinking about packing my automatic. At least keep it in my auto.
This is a cultural issue. The Netherlands have, like Germany, a mandatorty residents' registration office. The USA as well as their birth giving nation, the UK, don't have such a thing. It is simply non existant. Same goes for ID cards: Netherlands and Germany have them mandatorily, USA and UK don't. Which means if you want to proof your identity in the USA, you'll need e.g. a drivers license (which might become a problem if more and more people in certain areas don't drive any longer) or other documents. You should see how boring our elections are.
People get their voting pass in the mail. No voters registration needed. All done by the local administration automatically.
(All?) States issue state id for people who don't drive. They look like a drivers license but say Not a license to drive on them.Which means if you want to proof your identity in the USA, you'll need e.g. a drivers license (which might become a problem if more and more people in certain areas don't drive any longer) or other documents.
We in the UK do, though, have to register each year to vote (£1000 fine if you don't, though I don't know if it's ever enforced). It's almost entirely online, though I get sent communications through the mail now and then asking me to enter a unique code contained in the letter, presumably to prove I at least have access to that address. This is a cultural issue. So with not having this type of register in place you are forced to organize your work differently.
It's more than that: It's pure domestic terrorism, and nothing less!WTF??? Bastards
To add some context, that is an iconic Georgia stroll. He is in Athens GA directly across the street from the main quadrangle of the University of Georgia's North Campus. The large empty area behind him to the left and down exactly one block is where the Athens Civil War monument used to stand* but was recently taken down. Where he is standing is where many people walk from downtown to the football stadium, at least they did before the plague. Many people in the state will recognize that scene. It is also one block the other direction from the racist bars that cater to the fraternity and sorority kids that currently have large signs in their windows protesting the local mask ordinances. Mr. Ossoff is sending an unmistakable message.Jon Ossoff is currently my favorite election porn:
Maybe these idiots should try it. It might help clear the mush out of their brains! They can put up a giant poster of Trump on their basement walls and fap away to their hearts' content.![]()
Proud Boy Trump-supporter threatens to bomb North Dakota voting center
Police in Dickinson, North Dakota arrested Anthony Raymond, a 33-year-old self-proclaimed "Proud Boy"—a Trump-loving, anti-feminist men's group whose members never masturbate and attend white supremacist rallies—for threatening to bomb a polling station in Stark County.Raymond reportedly sent an...www.rawstory.com

This is my fear, and is keeping me from being able to sleep at night, and I'm usually too nauseous to eat.I'm still really terrified that evil son-of-a-bitch and his minions will win again. Or...not win, but steal this election. He keeps talking about winning through the Supreme Court. I worry that's exactly what's going to happen. WE'LL vote him out, and THEY'LL give him the office back.
Yes. Between this and his “it’s not just that you’re a crook...” evisceration of Perdue he is one “y’all” away from making me his thrall. If his next TikTok is having a fried peach pie at the Varsity I’m moving.Mr. Ossoff is sending an unmistakable message.
Premature victory? There's a little blue pill for that.![]()
Trump plans to declare premature victory if he appears "ahead" on election night
This is the first account of Trump explicitly discussing his own intentions.www.axios.com
LOL. He can bring it.
Wait, Varsity has fried peach pies and I never -knew- this? ARgh!Yes. Between this and his “it’s not just that you’re a crook...” evisceration of Perdue he is one “y’all” away from making me his thrall. If his next TikTok is having a fried peach pie at the Varsity I’m moving.

Democrats have a team of 600+ layers and thousands of legal volunteers spanning every state who have been preparing for this for four years.
And we can afford our lawyers.
God, I hope this map pans out! I hope we can also turn Texas blue and blow the doors off any chance of Trump contesting the election! So, this is what 538 says the map would look like if the polls right now were as wrong as they were in 2016. Keep in mind, we have no indications that any of the race-tightening factors following the Comey announcement in 2016 are being repeated now.

Texas will be tight, but the fact that the GOP is even sweating Texas it is a testament to the networks and coalitions O'Rourke, Castro, and others have developed there.God, I hope this map pans out! I hope we can also turn Texas blue and blow the doors off any chance of Trump contesting the election!
