he'll be able to take a welcome break in Mar-a-Lago for the next four years, before his triumphant return.
Or maybe not. As part of the rezoning of Mar-a-lago from a residence to a private club, he agreed not to let anyone live there full time. He also gave the development rights to the National Trust for Historic Preservation to get a tax deduction. That also requires it to be maintained as a club, not a residence.
The other rich people in Palm Beach, FL are objecting to him living there full time.

Suburban housewives in America dislike having predatory criminals relocated from the cities to luxurious and publicly subsidised housing nearby their lovely homes, or so I am led to believe.

It's from a list of lightbulb jokes that circulated online when all we had was text to work with. Probably where your DM got it too.

Young people today won't understand lightbulb jokes, because now they last nearly forever.
Could you please tell that to out light fixtures.....? Because they keep going out far sooner than they should, considering the bulbs we use.

A bunch of light fixtures today don't even take bulbs, they're just a built in array of LEDs.

So my hopes to have spectacular tv on that day might come true afteral.
Personally I'd prefer they put the profits into the FEMA reeducation camps.

A proper election map based on people, rather than states or counties. Each dot represents 250,000 votes for Biden, Trump, or Other, and located approximately where that group of votes were cast. Yeah, Trump won western states like North Dakota and Montana, but nobody lives there. They only count because of the Electoral College.

I can see how one can lose their "faith" in democracy or some specific promise of America or whatever. We have a lot to be disappointed in regarding the promises or hopes this country has made and regularly failed on.

But replacing that with a faith in Trump?! Jesus Xerces Christ...

Okay, there is more to this than the lawsuit. Business news -must- be factual. If its not, then they facebigger problems than a lawsuit from a specific company. Basically, since the primary watchers of business news are investors of all levels, and lies affect the market and such...

Its why my mom watches cnbc so much - besides being an investor.

Advice from a friend of mine, years ago, who then wrote for The Independent -- he said the only British paper worth reading for the news (he reports on the arts) was the Financial Times, since that has to be accurate because the people who read the FT know more about most of what it reports than do the reporters, because they own the businesses and institutions that are being written about, so it can't afford to get stuff wrong without losing all credibility with its core readership.
