Advocating for a solution that can and will never happen under this leader? The one that you couldn't be bothered to see didn't get into office?

Now, you are all about unity in finding solutions? Nothing in your posting history comes close to backing that up.

Nah, you're continuing your "Tulsi Gabbard is a voice of reason" grift, and trying to lay it on us that we should especially listen to her now, because of the dangerous situation we find ourselves in, taking advantage of it to push her still. Fuck off.
You're sad. You're Blue Fanaticism makes you blind. You constantly throw your righteous condemnation like you're throwing a Bible.

Just today, you tried to throw the blame of this countries pandemic situation in my lap because of my choice in 2016 voting.

Did you ever pull your head out of your ass long enough to realize that I voted for an American physician to lead this country in what is now a global health crisis?

My state has moved the primary to June - it was originally going to be the beginning of next month.

Unless other states do the same thing, that means by the time I vote the nominee will probably be pretty presumptive.
Do you guys do mail or early voting? Fulton County GA does, and most people vote early because no lines.

What in the actual fuck? I think if someone said that in front of me I'd hit them. My mother is a boomer. My mother is in poor health. My entire family is in agreement that the nightmare scenario is my mom getting this.
At least for some segment of the "people" who use the term, that's the reaction they're hoping to elicit. It's still the correct reaction, though.

Oh, I don't blame you for the pandemic. That could have happened under anyone's watch. I blame you for giving us Trump to be the man to handle it. What part of that is so hard to understand? Are you dense? I blame you for each and every fucking evil thing he has already done and will do in response to it.

We could have had a responsible person in charge. YOU helped see to it that we did not. You still say that you made the right choice. You are blind. You have a need to think that you are so much smarter than everyone else and that your choice was so superior to those who saw the danger in Trump. Let me tell you right here and right now. You are not and it was not. You haven't even learned the lesson of your mistake yet and no doubt will make it again. You will.

This state has mail-in voting but only if you qualify with an actual reason - you gotta be disabled, elderly, in the hospital, planning to be out of town on election day, etc.

Early voting starts two weeks before election day, at special locations. But I think the votes aren't counted until election day...

Washington State - they mail you the ballot. You can mail it back in or drop it off at the drive by. If you /really/ want to, you can still go in and vote the old fashioned way.

FiveThirtyEight now give him a less than 1% chance of winning a majority of delegates -- his chances, it seems, are now no more realistic than those of Tulsi Gabbard.

What makes you think their assessment is so wildly out that he is, in fact, still in the race with a decent chance of winning?
Their overwhelming desire to pretend their chosen candidate is the only Correct choice and that we're all somehow deluding ourselves supersedes all logic.

at least one of them likes to pretend (like oh so many that do this) that voting Third Party is a viable option when the simple reality is that they are wasting their vote. Period.

That wouldn't irritate me nearly as much as it does if they'd just admit that part instead of pretending they did so for some moral reason (or any other bit of bullshit they'd like to spew out).

To spell it out for the Third party believers/Independents (with an attitude problem): Our system is First Past The Post. That means that it is a de facto Two Party system where the more major elections are concerned. Short of changing the system itself (good luck) or starting from the ground up, that's not going to change and any vote made outside of the two major parties is wasted - period, deal with it.

We do not have the luxury of being idealists right now. We lost that during the last election cycle. We stand to lose far more this time.

Grow the fuck up. Your idealism is not worth the risk and frankly is almost as dangerous to the most vulnerable members of our society during this cycle as the shit stain in office has been during his tenure.

If a repeat of last time happens, especially if it does so because a bunch of children threw a temper tantrum at not having their Blessed Candidate be the one going into the general? The lot of you are the ones that will be responsible.

Oh I can already guess the reactions I'll get from this post so I'll just say this: pluck out your eyes and toss them in the garbage instead of rolling them at me. Use that lovely screwdriver on your own ass.

... I may have to step away from this and similar threads for a bit.

Did you honestly, sincerely think, when you voted for her, that she actually had a chance of winning?

No. Your choice got us Trump. You're the last person who can lecture on what's best for the country. You can go fuck yourself with a cactus.

Fuck I don't remember

Hispanics that don’t like Bernie are now either just duped by “the establishment” or Republicans that don’t matter.

In a focus group of Hispanic Democrats that Amandi conducted last month, he said nothing matched the visceral response people had like the reaction to Sanders’ “60 Minutes” interview.

“One woman literally cried” after listening to it, “Amandi said. “I’ve never seen anything like it.” Another woman told the focus group that she was cooking dinner when the show came on and got so angry that she forgot what she was doing and burned her food.

A Sanders campaign adviser who spoke on condition of anonymity after the interview dismissed the controversy as “not a big deal. This is red-baiting from the establishment and really it’s just Cubans from Miami who care about this and they’re Republicans and they’re not voting for us anyway.”

Yea, I know I'm crazy. It's all about following the herd and winning. Winning what?

As many times as you say it, my choice simply did not get you Trump. The people who voted for Trump, got you Trump. The people who voted for Clinton, got you second place. The people who didn't vote, got you nothing. The people who voted for Stein, got you a second chance at Medicare for All, The Green New Deal, College Debt forgiveness, and a host of other possibilities to make life better for people who need a better life. They couldn't be ignored. Sanders couldn't be ignored this time, not in the same way.

Were the masses begging for a second chance with Clinton? No way. She stood for nothing, but loss.

What are you doing with that second chance, now? You're following the herd and pissing it away. Again. You're being ignorant with such righteousness. It's all here, right in front of your face, and you are running full force to absolutely nothing.

It's interesting that you bring up a cactus. It grows in a place that barely sustains life. It's hollow and prickly. It's Joe Biden.

It's nice to rewrite history to make yourself a hero.

Except, we were all here for that history, since it was only 4 years ago, and still affecting the present.

So, newsflash, pumpkin: You're no fucking hero. You're coming off pretty narcissistic, though, so it's no wonder you vote how you do. You do you. The rest of us will, as always, pick up the pieces and clean up the mess people like YOU leave behind in your self-righteous wake.

Sorry, but I don't quite understand what role you say Stein's candidature played in securing this second chance.

In what way would have "a second chance at Medicare for All, The Green New Deal, College Debt forgiveness," and so on not have existed had Stein not been a candidate in 2016, and how many votes did she need to gain in order to secure this second chance for all these things?

Are you suggesting that Sanders only took up the idea of Medicare for All because Stein obtained 1.07% of the popular vote in 2016 and that he wouldn't have bothered about it had she obtained no more than, say, 1%, or what?

Rewriting history is all they have since Trump’s horrible ineptitude and allowing the GOP to run unfettered has left so much blood on their hands. I imagine there’s no end of things they have to convince themselves to sleep at night.
