Of course... but sadly, the jurors are picked from the same group of people... See George Zimmerman and Kyle Rittenhouse.
That county runs from the northern suburbs of Seattle into the commuter belt and then into the backwoods. I can imagine jury polls are very interesting.

22 is still pretty young, but you're right that America has a lot of much older people who are just as immature and worse because they have guns. The gun culture is one of my least favorite things about my country since it exacerbates many of our other problems...
Of course, in more and more states there is a push for anyone and everyone to openly have a gun on their person. This means that when that person experiences transitory, but strong emotions, like fear and anger they can use said weapons to end someone's or even many people's lives because they are so deadly.

America, the land of the angry and scared.

And presuming success in the long range I wonder what is needed to keep share price growth in firearm manufacturers with that short term artificial boost. Manufacturers are already doing fuckery in the political spheres of other countries. Line must go up.

The family of a New Mexico man who was fatally shot by officers who responded to the wrong address has filed a lawsuit over what they claim were "extreme, unreasonable actions" that resulted in his death.
Three Farmington police officers who were responding to a domestic violence call around 11:30 p.m. local time on April 5 mistakenly went to the home of Robert Dotson -- approaching house number 5305 instead of 5308, state police said. Body camera footage released by the police department showed the officers knocking and announcing themselves several times, then debating whether they were at the right address after getting no response.

As the officers were leaving, Dotson opened his screen door armed with a handgun. The officers opened fire, striking Dotson 12 times, according to a wrongful death lawsuit filed Friday. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Another cops screw the pooch and someone dies story, but answering your door armed? What the eff?!

It's the middle of the night, you are in bed asleep and suddenly you are awakened by someone pounding on your front door and screaming at you to open the door. Are you going to arm yourself with the deadliest weapon you possess before you answer the door or are you just going to open the door to who knows what danger? Most would at least grab a baseball bat if they have one which can be deadly weapons. It's not unreasonable to think to protect yourself before opening the door to the unknown.

A Florida man accused of fatally shooting a man who was trimming trees along his mother's property line has been arrested on a murder charge, authorities said Monday.

Edward S. Druzolowski, 78, threatened to shoot Brian J. Ford, 42, who he said was on his property Sunday in DeLeon Springs, Fla., while “trimming tree limbs along the fence line," the Volusia Sheriff’s Office's said in a statement posted on social media.

"Druzolowski told detectives he threatened to shoot Ford, and when Ford didn’t leave, he shot him," the statement said.

I did fast food work as a teen. I would have liked to have a gun some days. All I had was sarcasm.
