My first instinct was to put this in the political or religious humor thread because it's certainly that comically dumb; but I've decided to put it here because I want to stress a point that this statement of hers is quite literally blasphemy and she's saying it directly to a crowd of churchgoers and not a single one of them pushes back in the slightest.
Every single sect of Christianity that believes in the divinity of Jesus believes that Jesus died willingly, on purpose. And even when one of his apostles pulled a sword and tried to fight off the Roman police who came to arrest him, Jesus made the guy stop and healed the cop's injury for that exact reason - what was happening was supposed to happen, it was God's whole plan. To say that "Jesus didn't have enough assault rifles to stop his government from killing him" completely misses what's supposed to be the whole point of Jesus and they literally don't care.
