Life under the Trump Regime. No one is safe. Unless you're 100% on his side. Though who knows, maybe not event then. (Sorry for turning this into an ALL ABOUT THE US thread, but we're all in this together.)

In a rare moment of sanity Trump is very angry and pissed with Vladimir Putin over Ukraine.

Donald Trump has said he is “pissed off” with Vladimir Putin over his approach to a ceasefire in Ukraine and threatened to levy tariffs on Moscow’s oil exports if the Russian leader does not agree to a truce within a month.

The US president indicated he would levy a 25% or 50% tariff that would affect countries buying Russian oil in a telephone interview with NBC News, during which he also threatened to bomb Iran and did not rule out using force in Greenland.

“If Russia and I are unable to make a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I think it was Russia’s fault, which it might not be, but if I think it was Russia’s fault, I am going to put secondary tariffs on oil, on all oil coming out of Russia,” Trump said.

“That would be that if you buy oil from Russia, you can’t do business in the United States. There will be a 25% tariff on all … on all oil, a 25 to 50-point tariff on all oil.”

The abrupt change of direction came after Putin had tried to attack the legitimacy of Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday, Trump said. Appearing on Russian television, Putin had suggested Ukraine could be placed under a temporary UN-led government to organise fresh elections before negotiating a peace deal.

Trump has previously called the Ukrainian president a dictator, but on Sunday he said: “I was very angry, pissed off” when Putin “started getting into Zelenskyy’s credibility, because that’s not going in the right location, you understand?”

He said “new leadership means you’re not gonna have a deal for a long time, right” and that he wanted to exert pressure on the Kremlin, which has thrown up a string of questions about a peace settlement and only agreed to limited maritime and energy ceasefires so far.

Putin declared, that Russia will not confirm to a ceasefire until in current form, because the root causes for the conflict are not yet met. He has the following conditions he wants to see in the deal:

1. Ukraine should refrain from joining NATO,
2. Russia wants to keep the occupied areas and
3. the size of the Ukranian army should be limited in future, so demilitarisation.

Kyiv told that abiding these demands would be equal to a capitulation and is not willing to agree with them.

In other words, Putin wants to make sure Ukraine stays ripe for conquering later...

Special envoy Witkoff has been 3 times to Russia by now, meeting with Putin.

You know, shaking hands and stuff...

The Kremlin has nothing but praise to say about the talks. In short its "give me the occupied areas and I will agree to a ceasefire."

Gee, why won't anyone in Europe get in line behind Trump?!

Some Trump administration officials are dissatisfied with European countries' ongoing support for Ukraine, underscoring the growing rift between Washington and Europe, the Economist reported on April 15, citing undisclosed diplomatic sources.

Kyiv's European partners have sought to present a united front on Ukraine, pledging additional assistance and preparing a "reassurance force" of troops to monitor a potential ceasefire.

Despite efforts to keep the U.S. engaged in the process, U.S. President Donald Trump has rejected providing security guarantees to Kyiv and has not announced any new aid packages, aiming instead to broker a ceasefire with Russia.
Some Pentagon officials have even questioned an unspecified ally about why it continues sending military aid to Ukraine, a query that was ignored, the Economist reported.
I wonder if any of these Pentagon "officials" feel like turncoat shit heels.

More likely Proud, Determined, and Loyal to Trump. You know what kind of incestuous soap bubble these sorts live in. He wouldn't hire anyone who's potentially subject to cognitive dissonance.

And, as y'all may have noticed, they're rapidly purging any who are insufficiently humble before Der Melonfuhrer.

Trump is mad at Selenski again, this is from Truth Social. And lying - " have nothing to do with Russia" - yeah, right.

Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is boasting on the front page of The Wall Street Journal that, “Ukraine will not legally recognize the occupation of Crimea. There’s nothing to talk about here.” This statement is very harmful to the Peace Negotiations with Russia in that Crimea was lost years ago under the auspices of President Barack Hussein Obama, and is not even a point of discussion. Nobody is asking Zelenskyy to recognize Crimea as Russian Territory but, if he wants Crimea, why didn’t they fight for it eleven years ago when it was handed over to Russia without a shot being fired? The area also houses, for many years before “the Obama handover,” major Russian submarine bases. It’s inflammatory statements like Zelenskyy’s that makes it so difficult to settle this War. He has nothing to boast about! The situation for Ukraine is dire — He can have Peace or, he can fight for another three years before losing the whole Country. I have nothing to do with Russia, but have much to do with wanting to save, on average, five thousand Russian and Ukrainian soldiers a week, who are dying for no reason whatsoever. The statement made by Zelenskyy today will do nothing but prolong the “killing field,” and nobody wants that! We are very close to a Deal, but the man with “no cards to play” should now, finally, GET IT DONE. I look forward to being able to help Ukraine, and Russia, get out of this Complete and Total MESS, that would have never started if I were President!

I absolutely hate HATE agreeing with that colossal f***head.
This is the full extend of how far he'll go to oppose Russia. Putin launched a lethal missile barrage, murdering dozens of innocent civilians and Trump's response amounted to tut-tutting him.

It's just for show, Trump doesn't actually care about Ukrainian lives.
