The whiny manbaby in the oval office is pissed again about Zelensky - again:

"Ukraine, headed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has not signed the final papers on the very important Rare Earths Deal with the United States. It is at least three weeks late. Hopefully, it will be signed IMMEDIATELY. Work on the overall Peace Deal between Russia and Ukraine is going smoothly. SUCCESS seems to be in the future!"

O-kay?

Son of CIA deputy director was killed while fighting for Russia, report says
An American man identified as the son of a deputy director of the CIA was killed in eastern Ukraine in 2024 while fighting under contract for the Russian military, according to an investigation by independent Russian media.

Michael Alexander Gloss, 21, died on 4 April 2024 in “Eastern Europe”, according to an obituary published by his family. He was the son of Juliane Gallina, who was appointed the deputy director for digital innovation at the Central Intelligence Agency in February 2024.

The story of how the son of a top-ranking US spy died fighting for Vladimir Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine is an unlikely tale of how homegrown anger at the United States and online radicalisation led from a middle-class Virginia childhood to the killing fields of eastern Ukraine.
On a VKontakte page attributed to Gloss, a high school football player born to parents who both served in the military, he described himself as “a supporter of the multipolar world. I ran away from home. traveled the world. I hate fascism. I love my homeland.” He also posted the flags of Russia and Palestine.
Sounds like he was a...complicated person.

Trump's strangling and blackmailing of Ukraine was successful. The Ukraine signed a resource deal with Trumpland, which is much less harsh in its details though than what was on the table in the beginning.

aside from refusing to capitalize multiple references to Russia - understandably
In Ukrainian, it's not considered grammatical incorrect to spell things like russia or moscow in all lowercase letters.

I adopted it.

It's actually an official thing:

That aged well.
The Americans are still sending aid to Ukraine.

And here's a video of Chosen Company helping their Ukrainian friends clear out a trench full of orcs. I'm posting it because you guys spend way to much time on this thread whining about American politics instead of talking about what is actually happening in Ukraine. Oh, and, because Chosen Company is a volunteer company primarily made up of English-speaking foreigners, most of you should in theory have no trouble understanding them.

Kind of weird, but interesting. Kind of like how British English isn't "wrong" in America either.

Your sources are from 2024, so they don't refute the fact that Trump has said he'll stop sending aid. Your source mentions a Biden announcement from September. I think you were trying so hard to prove people here wrong that you made a bit of a slip up. Which is understandable. The article also has today's date in the upper corner but the information is from November 2024. Trump has publicly expressed clear intent to cut off aid, which is a good reason to be mad.

Honestly, it's not that you're dumb or crazy, it's your attitude. Your views aren't even THAT different from people here. It's just your attitude and how you go about things. With different delivery, you could contribute to discussions without just pissing people off.

Might have botched that one. Originally, I was going to post two articles (probably should have, but I like using Ukrainian sources).

I don't know if that source is liberal or conservative. There's a big hoopla with 'giving aid' being called 'selling equipment' now, all related to the mineral stuff, which isn't great for Ukraine. But if the American's want the minerals, Ukraine must exist in order for them to profit off of Ukraine. Trump and his people are likely slowly beginning to understand that the russians aren't interested in anything but the compleate capitulation of Ukraine and are not interested either in peace, a ceasefire, or any form of good faith negotiations. Crimea, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Luhansk, are Ukraine, and should be reclaimed by threat of Ukrainian-made nuclear weapons if nessariy. But America is still sending miltary equipment they don't need or want or have retired from service to Ukraine. It doesn't even matter if there are pauses in the aid, as long as the AFU soliders at the front don't run out of bullets and have to pull back. Are there extrodinary stupid gaps and drip-feeds, though? Ya, from America and Europe. The war will continue until the Ukrainians feel that their childerns' childern will not have to fight another war.

I don't know if I stay long, but ty.
I do respect your posts when you are factual, or at least trying to be. And I do have to always remind myself your country is constantly under attack and that people are dying every day because of Russia, so I can understand your frustration and feel for when you lash out. But even then, you have to stand back and understand the people you are talking to, and that is a given fact documented as far back as Aristotle's Rhetoric (pathos, logos, ethos). It's baked in to any discourse in this forum.

We have a high regard for Voltaire's declaration "Those who can make you believe fantasies, can make you perform atrocities," so sloppy thinking and lack of due research can earn our scorn here. For myself, it was the three mandatory sections on the Holocaust during our world history classes in the 8th, 9th, and 10th grades that launched that for me. We were taught to not be Nazi's or racists. It was the 60's, so history was just that close to us. I think most of us have had a similar experience, that we are under constant attack by those who would persuade us to commit evil, and that we have moral duty not to fall under their sway, to always question and confirm. It's personal.

We can be sympathetic and understanding, but when you make it personal you destroy your credibility.

You shouldn't make assumptions about others.

Are you trying to tell me that I need to be more politically correct or that I shouldn't say mean things to assholes?

As per the ancient Greek, all conversations must start with the assumption of pathos, logos, and ethos.

As the 2nd part, that's up to you. Do you want to be respected, or not? If not, why even bother? That's not going to persuade anyone of anything so you may as well type it out and then delete it.

Well, I tried.
You made some assumptions about somebody, attempted to berate them personally about who they are and how they speak, and now you want to whine about how they didn't respond the way you wanted . . .

Blah. Blah. Blah. I don't care. Actually, I couldn't give less of a fuck, lol.

Some people just want to be upset.
