Pretty grim work :(

EDIT: Innula, you should write a blog, if you have the interest and the time. I know I'd read it, even if all you do is set up a blog roll to other bloggers and some articles/resources. :)
Thanks! I did have one once, years ago and under a different name. I dropped it because it took up too much time, and I couldn't keep it up and do SL too.

I can understand that. It's a lot of time and would probably draw some crazies to you where this forum is a relatively safe space.

The crazies weren't too big a problem. I could block them easily enough, and I was always prepared to engage politely and seriously with people who afforded me the same courtesy, which meant I had several regular right-wing (a couple of them very right wing) regulars who appreciated that and kept the loonies in order.

I think it helped that my readers were primarily British, because that meant I could frame things in particular ways and appeal to common values and assumptions that would appeal to our right-wing loonies in a way I couldn't with ones from other countries.

Boom? No boom today, no boom tomorrow says Putin!

Speaking in a film by Russian state television about his 25 years in power, Putin said that Russia has the strength and the means to bring the conflict in Ukraine to what he called a “logical conclusion”.

Responding to a question from a state television reporter about Ukrainian strikes on Russia, Putin said: “There has been no need to use those [nuclear] weapons … and I hope they will not be required.”
