When this started, I was watching Colbert, who had a panel of experts talking about Ukraine. They didn't mention the invasion at all, even though it had started hours before. I just flipped past CNN, where they are talking about Trump, and Fox News, where they are still talking about what happens if Russia REALLY invades, which is insane. Then google news is mostly about China, for some reason. The only news outlet covering this right now is Bloomberg, which I'm streaming off pluto tv.

If you want to know what's going on in Ukraine, you need to watch Twitter, and Reddit, and sites like that. Our traditional american media has completely failed to keep us informed.

Ok, that's not fucking shady.

So, I have been working to use Lists nore on Twitter, especially for, call it fleeting topics like this one. (Not downplaying it, but long term in theory its not something Inwant in my main feed.)

So I will create lists instead of following.

So I started by adding the two mentioned in this thread.

Except @NewVoiceUkraine does not show in searches. It exists, you can go there. But searching in the List maker and regular search in the people tab, explicitly for "NewVoiceUkraine" does not give them as a result. At least not on mobile.

Don't forget that the Ukraine is no NATO member and that NATO is a defensive organization, it's purpose is to defend it's own territory.
NATO doesn't do peace keeping missions either. Individual NATO members do, preferred under UN command.
Now if Russia starts to fire missiles on Poland or the Baltic states, then it becomes a completely different ballgame. Then the whole NATO block will be at war.

So at the moment the NATO countries can do little more than to be alert, make sure enough troops are on stand by just in case and condemn what is happening, supporting that condemnation with economical repercussions.

And the fact that Russia is the chair in the UN security counsel at the moment, doesn't help a lot either I guess.
