my mum isn’t a full blown narcissist, I think she’s a bubblehead. In her little bubble but responds well to gentle reminders that other people exist.

My late father was a generous, kind man but he was also a narcissist whose crappy parenting damaged me for life.

I say "Damaged" but I've come to kinda like the me that came out.

Separately, you also make contact with a 10-year-old girl via the online game Roblox and coax and threaten her into trying to kill a 2-month old baby by dropping it onto a hard tile floor, and also try to kill her temporary guardians by dousing their sheets with aerosol spray and setting them on fire.

That's the story so far. I have seen claims online that the 10-year-old girl is actually another of Sykes' daughters who had just recently been removed from her custody, and also that the 2-month-old baby she wanted killed was the child of the aforementioned 14-year-old daughter, but it looks like neither of those is confirmed by authorities yet.

She was taken from her mother when she was 7 and placed in foster care, but a few years later was adopted by her great uncle and his wife. Before long, the uncle began sexually abusing her. At 13, she reported the abuse, but police began treating her like a suspect, accusing her of making it up. At HER court hearing she was coerced into saying she'd made up the allegations, forced to write apology letters to the uncle and a sheriff's officer (I assume who'd taken her first statements), and sentenced to probation and community service. She soon got evidence of the CONTINUING abuse with her phone's camera. Providing this to police, only then was she taken seriously. Her uncle was charged and thankfully sentenced to 17 years.

I think I'm fucking through with humanity.

Man how f'ed up this guy is. There were police involved, there was court involved, and the guy catches the biggest break a bastard in his position could possibly hope for, and IMMEDIATELY starts continuing to do the crime. If only all people that evil were also that stupid.

This whole story is f'ed, but

Do you want to go live back in foster care? Because more than likely, if he's arrested, they're not going to let you stay there.

I can't even get into how freaking infuriated that line gets me. Police AND judges threaten kids with foster care all the freaking time like it's a bad thing that bad kids who deserve a bad time get sent to.

According to this, there's a reasonable chance the tree will survive, though we won't know that for sure until next spring.

But we don't know how it's going to look when it regrows, and it's going to take a couple of hundred years for it to reach anything like its former size.

Missouri officers accused of pulling over women, searching phones for nude pictures

Two Missouri police officers were indicted separately this week and accused of similar crimes — pulling over women and searching their phones to find nude photos.
