It is honestly quite simple: This board is not so much "Pro-Left" as it is Pro-Reality.

The simple reality is that things such as that (no, I refuse to believe that one is a person), the party it pretends to be a part of and many of those that foolishly vote in that direction quite simply do not have the best interests of anyone but the shareholders and CEOs in mind. At all. Ever.

They're clinging to a regressive past that is best left to the trash pile of time.

No, they don't give a flying fuck about personal liberties or personal freedoms. They don't give a fuck about giving people choices. Any and everything they claim to be for - they are actively against.

So yep - peddle the bullshit to someone/somewhere that will actually buy it. Any push back you get anywhere is deserved.

It's also about actually caring about issues that actually affect people and might even not dor ctly affect ourselves. Real issues, not exaggerated ones.

Like wealth inequality due to lack of control over cutthroat corporate greed.

And lack of a proper healthcare system in the US that isn't almost exclusively designed to extract increasing amounts of wealth from normal people to reduce the ability for normal people to ever accumulate generational wealth.

Or climate crisis, which is already causing problems that are ONLY going to get worse, which also boils back down to corporate greed.

Or actually expecting even the mildest level of responsibility and accountability from gun owners who keep murdering school children.

Etc etc

What it's not is getting outraged over flat out lies and exaggerations of reality.

Like banning school lessons based on the myth that grade schoolers are being taught history major college tier courses like CRT.

Or checking kids genitals because of some weird misguided ideas that trans people are only in it for the easy competition or to perv on people in the bathroom. Or even that children are even undergoing any meaningful levels of trans related treatment at all.

Or thinking that everyone wants to "take all our guns" because someone expects even the most basic tiers of accountability when someone wants to own a tool which has the ONLY use of killing.

Or getting angry because maybe we need to look I to things like inefficient appliances and claiming that people want to steal your ovens.

Or getting angry at people who might worship even the same dirty but in a different way.

Or claiming that if we do literally any sort of social program it's 1000% equivalent to full blown Stalin tier authoritarian communism.

Etc etc.

We're not necessarily pro-left or anti-Trump. Some of us are quite centrist. But what most of us here are is anti- people taking our rights and freedoms away - vehemently so, and right now Trump and his MAGA movement are trying to do exactly that. Have you read Project 2025? If you haven't, you should. It's over 900 pages long, so I'm not expecting you to read the whole thing, but at least skim through it. If you can still support the party that wants to bring that to us, then may God have mercy on your soul.
