We've become fans of thin crust pizzas that are like flatbread with pizza toppings <insert whatever you do or don't approve as pizza toppings here>. I used to call thin crust "old people pizza" but now that's it's my preference I refer to it as "old people pizza" because old. And that's the point; it has less bready, sugary, weight-enhancing, crust but still the taste and fun of eating the pizzaz!

Steak pizza, an American atrocity.

The other day I tried a "Philly steak pizza", which was...basically chopped sandwich steak, onions and peppers on prove/mozz with some kind of white cheese sauce - alfredo I'm guessing? Like, STRICTLY taste wise it wasn't terrible - it tasted like a cheesesteak, albeit a cheapish one, not really criminal or anything. But I didn't like it because while I like cheesesteaks, there's something like psychologically about serving it as slices of pizza that makes my mind expect a certain kind of taste or something, so it was disappointing.

The problem with this is - pepperoni slices are best when the edges are just starting to singe. The top ones on that thing are like that, but you know that the ones way down in the middle of the stack are gonna be like barely even warm - meh.

I’m not a fan of béchamel type or white sauces on pizza. I’ve always avoided chicken pizzas because of that. I’m sure it isn’t that bad, but why? So many other choices available.

I have to agree Lutefisk is probably the one that is the most repugnant to me. I doubt I could actually bring it up anywhere near my nose without an automatic gag response.

It's probably not a coincidence that shortly after millions of Swedes and Norwegians immigrated up here, their kids wrote and published two of the most well-known and respected cookbooks in the United States. We just literally ran away from that f'ing l#t%f$sk as fast as humanly possible.
