Feds Deliberately Targeted BLM Protesters To Disrupt The Movement, A Report Says

The federal government deliberately targeted Black Lives Matter protesters via heavy-handed criminal prosecutions in an attempt to disrupt and discourage the global movement that swept the nation last summer in the wake of the Minneapolis police killing of George Floyd, according to a new report released Wednesday by The Movement for Black Lives.

Movement leaders and experts said the prosecution of protesters over the past year continues a century-long practice by the federal government, rooted in structural racism, to suppress Black social movements via the use of surveillance tactics and other mechanisms.

"The empirical data and findings in this report largely corroborate what Black organizers have long known intellectually, intuitively, and from lived experience about the federal government's disparate policing and prosecution of racial justice protests and related activity," the report stated.

My only point is that there are summer weight fabrics out there that make excellent suits for summer wear. Been that way for 2 or 3 centuries at least. Which probably doesn't really follow with your point of it's too damned hot in the summer to wear a bunch of layers like we do in winter to stay warm. Except there are lightweight materials perfectly suited for the jerb.

Have I saved us a bunch of back and forth and brought us full circle yet?

Just trying to save us both from going around in circles arguing with each other over something of no real importance. AKA "taking the fun out of it".

That's what you guys get for posting faster than I can read even though I'm not here every day all day long doing nothing but reading to catch up like I used to do. lol

This is what happens when I'm not allowed to get a good night's sleep for weeks and months on end that turn into years. Three years of that damned rooster and now FINALLY the rooster is gone! And of course since last night was the first night of no incessant crowing starting at 3 am and through out the day until dark thirty, I still woke up and couldn't go back to sleep because I kept waiting for that damn rooster to start crowing. Then, of course, that damned dog had to start up. Fortunately, he will shut up when he hears me screaming out the window. The pup is another story but hopefully he will learn as well.

Maybe tonight I'll finally get a decent nights sleep. As for making sense, no guarantees, no warranties.

The absence of the police, in line with a policy on nonintervention announced beforehand by Portland Police Bureau Chief Chuck Lovell, reinforced a sense among anti-fascists that they were on their own. So when a right-wing gunman fired in the direction of black-clad protesters who had chased him away from their protest at gunpoint, it was shocking but perhaps not surprising that one of the anti-fascists fired back, according to witnesses.

Luckily, all eight shots missed their targets, and there were no reported injuries from the exchange of fire.
