One reply to this, can't find it now, was something like "Donald *Sexual Abuser* Trump"

There are others, more or less as clever. And course there are the "WHY ISN'T HE IN JAIL" responses.

I'm just thinking out loud, but if Donald Trump remains alive and well into 2028, and does happen to try to run for a third term. We should draft Barack Obama to run against him.

More on the Tate brothers

If they're convicted on all or most of the charges, I think they're in grave danger of life sentences in the UK. Judges can't impose a full life sentence (i.e. no possibility of release on licence/parole) for anything other than murder, but they could very well be looking at minimum sentences of 30--40 years before a parole board can consider releasing them, with no guarantee they'll ever be released.

US government map of Africa mislabels every country at global conference
A U.S. government map of Africa mislabeled every country during a State Department presentation at ‌a global conference taking place in Brazil this week, causing a stir among attendees who took screenshots and posted them online.

Reuters viewed a video of the presentation given at the AIDS 2026 conference in Rio de Janeiro, which shows the errant map displayed halfway during a presentation about the State Department's new health agreements.
Gee, how could that be possible?
A Reuters analysis found the image of the map included in the presentation contained an artificial intelligence watermark that signals it was made with OpenAI tools.
Oh, yes. That's how. Or, standard Trump administration incompetence.

A 4.7 earthquake in Naples - relatively mild as earthquakes go, but this one managed to injure a couple dozen people. No deaths reported at least, thankfully.

“While we won’t dignify this baseless attacks by Democrats and their media allies, Senator Moreno will not speak on active litigation involving his family,” she said.
Which is why he released that video Sunday where he discusses the active litigation?

His father-in-law, REPUBLICAN senator Bernie Moreno, has obviously fallen for the "baseless attacks by Democrats and their media allies." For shame.

‘I Will Literally Eat Anything’: RFK Jr. Touts His Nonexistent ‘Gag Reflex’
Kennedy has long made headlines for his dietary choices, eating mostly meat and fermented foods, and even going so far as to get the rest of President Donald Trump’s cabinet on board. In 2024, he told reporters that he has a “freezer full” of roadkill. He’s even recalled “cutting the penis out of a road-killed raccoon.” As staffers later clarified, Kennedy feeds the dead animals to his pet birds.
Uh huh. Suuuuure.
“I will literally eat anything,” promised Kennedy. “I don’t have a gag reflex — let me put it like that.”
No gag reflex. Beneficial for things like dental procedures, and cock gobbling.

Twenty-five years after the mayor of New York City became the champion of America’s grief and resilience at the time of the 9/11 attacks, families of those killed are split on whether the current mayor should attend the annual remembrance.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani, the first Muslim to hold the office, said he would “proudly honour” those affected by standing alongside them at ground zero, but some relatives of victims say they don’t want him there. “I don’t know if I could stomach that,” Robert Hughes told CNN. Others are unhappy the focus is on the mayor — in part because of his political ideology and his identity — and not their loved ones. For Liz Miller, it is time for acceptance, not division. “Unity can represent itself as kindness and compassion towards others, even when you do think differently,” she said.
Mamdani, a democratic socialist who is a lightning rod especially for those on the right, is now the subject of a petition to have him banned from ceremonies commemorating what happened. Opponents castigate him for what they say are extremist views on his support for Palestinian rights and criticism of the Israeli government.
Because support for Palestinian rights and criticism of Israel...uhm...yeah, that has nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks. So what could their problem with Mamdani be. I mean, he is a Muslim...oh, OK. Now I see the problem. ISLAM-O-PHOBIA!
