Every report leads back to this article. I can't find a single reputable source reporting GEICO is not covering Cybertrucks. They seem to be charging high premiums relative to the sticker price, but given the number of recalls and the repair cost that's not unusual.

I really have to wonder, who even buys a Cybertruck? What demographic is it marketed to? I mean, on the one hand, you have the MAGA Musk fan boys, but to them, an EV is an anathema. Then you have the more liberal, environmentally conscious consumers. But they'd never consider a Cybertruck because they're ugly as fuck, and because Elon. So who?

I've experiments to run

There is research to be done

On the people who are

still alive.
Yeah this is so stupid.

No, it won't be perfect. But its a program and a machine. You take the conservative option and go with that. If that means it always "goes last" at a 4 way stop, or runs 5 mph under the speed limit, so be it.

But from what I have seen, Tesla's auto systems are anything but on that front.

Techbros. Elon has MAGA fans now because of his recent hard-right slide (even though they'll never buy his trucks, lol), but before they came along his main fan-base has always been crypto-shilling TESCREAL types, they fell in love with his promises of a technocratic cybertopia and follow him with something close to a religious fervor. You know, the guys who work in his factories and admit they're overworked to the point of injury but tell you it doesn't matter because it's MUSK and they're elated just to be helping to secure humanity's future by working for him.

I used to say the whole "autonomous vehicle trolley problem" was bullshit because there's no driver to get bored so no real company would allow an autonomous vehicle to exceed a safe speed and if that means going 5MPH past parked cars where kids may be playing that's just fine.

I really underestimated the stupidity of billionaires. And more importantly the willingness of regulators to let them get away with blatantly unsafe designs.

During halftime of Stanford’s game against Virginia Tech, the band put on a hilariously chaotic show centered around Musk’s much-maligned Tesla Cybertruck. As part of the routine, a student dressed as a Cybertruck wreaked havoc on the field, crashing into everything in its path in a reckless, over-the-top fashion.

Affluent, divorced and socially awkward white men - like Elon Musk.

The cybertruck is basically a rolling ad, saying "I'm rich, gullible and looking for a wife".

Yeah, the entire thing seems to be run by the types who will insist that if everyone else is breaking the law and going 10mph over the limit, you are the problem because you are going the speed limit only.

Or that the "Zipper method" is the ONLY valid way for traffic to merge, even though part of the idea is that the merge point is the end of the zipper and the zip point slowly moves away from it.
