I had a burger at Hungry Jack's when I was in Australia one time, that had a slice of beetroot in it. It actually wasn't bad at all!

I'm going to make a bacon wrapped center cut pork loin this year. Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin

It looked really tasty and I can make make carnitas with the left overs.

Also making black eyed peas, collard greens and for dessert I'm making a Cranberry New Years Cobbler.

Edited to say that I'm out of honey so I'm going to use Jalapeño Jelly on the pork roast instead.

Your food posts always make me salivate and this is no exception. I've done the bacon thing on a number of items over the years and yes, it is particularly helpful for what are normally considered lean or dry meats.

ETA: Just don't expect miracles, In my experience, time of cooking matters FAR more.

Finally got around to having the turkey that was meant to have on Thanksgiving but couldn't because was waiting on the Covid test!

He was still in the bag and roaster pan here. Used a combination of cajun and italian seasonings. His breasts were HUGE. We only got through a portion of one. and none of the dark meat. Normally he would not have been so big but this year ordered him online and the shopper picked out a 20lb bird. :)

I just ate a Whopper earlier today, and regretted it shortly after. I suppose if it had been "cleaner"...

I’m about to roast some root vegetables Brussels sprouts, etc. in a pan and I can’t find my potatoes.

A big bag lasts a long while for me so I usually place them somewhere dark and cool like a closet or my bedroom in a hidden corner (my apartment is always too hot/humid), it varies.

Anyway, I can’t find my potatoes, lol. This is insane, where the fuck are my potatoes!

Missing: Isabeau’s potatoes. Last seen, in a dry, shadowy location in Montreal. Please help.

Now roasting with sweet potatoes, rutabaga, carrots, Brussels sprouts, red onions, and sausage.

My bra has come off, my food is cooking, my glass is full of wine, and I am SITTING COMFORTABLY.
