A letter, to be sent to governors imminently, backs away from earlier drafts that had directed state leaders to deploy the National Guard to help hospitals with daily data submissions. It now includes the National Guard among states' options for improving the data flow, according to two senior administration officials and one industry official who was informed Monday about the final version.

Sure, this is all about "improving the data flow."

Yes, some languages are better than others for the purpose. Although frustratingly I never can remember them. Finnish have some that translate as good ones but everything sounds like a snake choking on vowels.

I had a short book on German phrases which included swear words, but it was almost all but unusable - someone had torn out the last page and that was the one that had the verbs on it. Can't do much with just nouns,, adjectives, and indifinite objects.

CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta tore into President Donald Trump’s campaign-like Rose Garden speech on Tuesday night, claiming the reason no one in the White House stopped it is because the staff is “down to Kool-Aid drinkers and next of kin.”

In what was initially billed as a press conference to announce China sanctions, the president quickly veered off into a rambling stream-of-consciousness rant that echoed one of his rally performances. Repeatedly attacking presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, Trump aired a series of grievances and characterized Democrats as hating America so much that they “wouldn’t mind” if terrorists blew up their cities.

Acosta, who was once briefly banned by the Trump White House, tweeted immediately afterwards that Trump “soiled” the Rose Garden with his performance.
