This opinion article makes a strong case that orangey will be the republican nominee. In short, DeSatan has had it and there is no other competition. Whether that's a good thing is hard for me to decide. DeSatan would certainly be worse than orangey if he became president.

This is just obvious, there is no real competition for the Republican Nomee unless Orange suddenly drops dead of a heart attack. Ron DeSantis seems to be really struggling in his own campaign as Disney made him look like a fool and Trump got a boost from being indicted.

Biden also has no real competition... most democrats want somebody younger, but no strong candidates have stepped forward. It is looking like a very likely historical repeat of the same 2 candidates. ...can't say I'm thrilled, lol.

At this point, I'm just fine with Biden as the candidate. He's beaten Trump once, and is the most likely to beat Trump again, now that some of Trump's supporters are dead or have lost their previous enthusiasm. Much as it pains me, now is not the time to try running a Dem candidate unknown to the country or with less favorability than Biden.

We're approaching the point where Republicans have concentrated down to the absolute worst this country has to offer. They are almost a small enough portion of the country that they are unable to win general elections, but they're not quite there yet. I'm not willing to risk a GOP win.

I have mixed feelings... as long as Biden can beat Trump, it's for the better.... but one thing I know about Republicans is they are very good at demonizing adversaries who have been around for a while.... my greatest hope is that a lot of the conspiracy nuts who came out to vote for Trump in huge droves are demoralized enough to not do so again.

I kind of wish we had a newer, "exciting" candidate, since historically dems have done well with them. But I also know Biden is a very effective, underrated Politian who has benefited from so much experience.

I don't know. I'd just about like to see DeSatan win the Republican nomination and Trump decide to run as an independent. That would certainly split the Republican vote and all but ensure a Democratic win. Unfortunately, there are too many things that could go wrong. Trump could get a spark of sense in his head and not run, or Democrats could get complacent again like what happened in 2016.

Or he could die. He doesn't seem like he's in good health.

Donald Trump has published a new book called "Letters to Trump." It contains letters from all celebrities and politicians all around the world before they despised Trump, so mostly before he became the 45th president.

Following up on a report on special counsel Jack Smith's investigation into Donald Trump keeping sensitive government documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort, CNN's Paula Reid claimed the DOJ is particularly interested in a text and phone calls between a Trump Org exec and another staffer at Mar-a-Lago.
On Thursday CNN reported, "Prosecutors for special counsel Jack Smith have been asking questions in recent weeks about the handling of surveillance footage from former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort after the Trump Organization received a subpoena last summer for the footage, according to multiple sources familiar with the investigation."

"The handling of the footage, and how employees within the Trump Organization responded to the Justice Department’s demand for it, have prompted a new round of grand jury subpoenas to top Trump employees in the last few weeks."
