Halfway through the town hall, CNN staffers were acknowledging the event was a disaster for the truth.

“This is so bad,” one of CNN’s on-air personalities told The Daily Beast before the first commercial break. "I was cautiously optimistic despite the criticism... it is awful. It’s a Trump infomercial. We’re going to get crushed.”

“One of the worst hours I’ve ever seen on our air,” another CNN staffer told The Daily Beast.

It wasn't even a real town hall format. It was just Kaitlin spewing nonsense, trying to over talk Trump while she inserted opinions and tried to gloss over them by nonstop rambling. Hell if she could have talked any faster, she could have been the next MicroMachines spokesperson. All I saw was an amateurish attempt at ambush journalism which was apparent before this even started. Like a whole actual 5 questions were taken from the audience.

It was going so bad for CNN that the 90 minute event was cut 20 minutes short.

Did Trump come out of this any better? No. Any worse? No. CNN took a big L right in the face. Maybe now they will know the difference between a Town Hall and Trumpkake.

Seriously, if CNN is so panties in a twist over Trump talking about the 2020 election, then why have Kaitlin open with a question about it? He gave her an answer, but since it wasn't the one she wanted, she just kept saying so you refuse to answer. He also refused to give her the answer she wanted over who he wanted to win the Ukranian conflict. He wanted people to stop dying/being killed. Not favouring one side or the other, more of a human/morality reply but CNN can't use that to proclaim TRUMP WANTS US ALLY TO DIE!!! or TRUMP WANTS TO ASSASSINATE PUTIN.

Kaitlin would be fired had she treated any Dem in this manner. Maybe she'd fit in on The View.

Somehow people perceive CNN as left wing. Thankfully it is not in my channel lineup now which is just some local stations. My Dad used to like watching CNN all the time while horrid people like Kayleigh McEnany, Jeffrey Lord, Corey Lewandowki and Rick Santorum droned on and on.
