I have a friend who is rather breathlessly following all of TFG's various LegalFailsTM and I finally just had to say, "Look ... call me when the hangin' starts. Up till then ... not that interested." I have to admit, the TFG team HAS found some pretty remarkable ways to completely fail as legal professionals but other than that -- this is not that entertaining. Some wag called it Make Attorneys Get Attorneys.

Honestly I'm waiting for the day to come when his mental facilities go the way of his father's. Mind you, given the job they did of hiding Reagan's it's unlikely we'll know it but ya know...a girl can dream.

Yeah... I still have low confidence he'll actually do time in prison, mostly because I think much of the justice system is too intimidated by his cult of personality. With that said, he's very publicly obstructed investigations and tried to intimidate prosecutors and judges, so I'm pretty sure an ordinary person in his shoes would have a massive minimum sentence...

While I understand your intended statement, it can easily be seen as saying that the Democrats have such weak poor choices for the next Presidential election that their best chance for winning is if the Republicans fail to stick together.

I would say the national democratic party has a way of picking choices that are not very progressive, certainly. Biden hasn't been that bad but he sure doesn't have very high popularity ratings and being the incumbent is likely the first choice.

I don't see that being entirely inaccurate -or even largely inaccurate.

The bigger issue is that the Electoral College has a baked in advantage for the Republicans and it is only getting worse as population grows while the number of Electors stays the same. Splitting up the vote in red states can allow a Democrat to get an Electoral College result closer to the popular vote percentages.

As for Justice, it sure seems to be moving along like a turtle or even backwards, for that matter. Frustrating at the very least.
