Done. In addition to various protests (of pretty much every politician) those areas are also used by locals for things like sports games and nonpolitical events.
If I had my way, no matter what laws they try to make to dissuade free speech, they would effectively be useless due to sheer numbers. Let 500,000 or a million people show up and see how they try to control our free speech. It's my opinion that we ARE at that stage, or should be, but other than the inaugural marches (which took place over many locations) they are able to overwhelm small groups of protesters with their sheer might and abuse of power.

Again, if I had my way, this Presidency would be facing FAR worse than LBJ did. By all rights, there should be a million people in his face daily, if not more. I think we may end up there, we just aren't there yet. So many people just have to tune out to survive. The cards are stacked against it in many ways. I think it's going to get far worse, and to the point where people see no other alternative before we see anything like that. If we have been able to tune out children being locked up in cages (as an indication of large protests) , I don't know just what it will take. I certainly hope that it won't take the likes of concentration camps. There is going to be a point in which protesting might well mean death if we do not stand up well before that.

They *think* they can bully us, and they can, but we DO have strength in numbers, if we only were to use it.

Investigative reporter Craig Unger: “Trump has had contacts with the Russian mafia for 35 years”

Investigative reporter Craig Unger: “Trump has had contacts with...

Probably not news to most here, but this is explosive, perhaps for those that aren't already aware. The problem lies in that a fair amount will just dismiss it as so much noise and some terrible plot to destroy Trump by sore losers. It's amazing to me just how many are willing to deny facts in their support of this man.

While the American people and the world are eagerly awaiting a great revelation in the Trump-Russia inquiry -- secretly recorded conversations of Donald Trump and his associates pledging personal loyalty to Russian President Vladimir Putin, or a sex tape featuring Trump and Russian prostitutes -- it may be something more mundane and obvious that finally leads to Trump's downfall.

In his new book "House of Trump, House of Putin: The Untold Story of Donald Trump and the Russian Mafia," veteran investigative journalist Craig Unger presents a detailed and exhaustively researched account of how Donald Trump has for decades laundered billions of dollars for Russian organized crime figures and other oligarchs. This fits a larger pattern in which Trump and his inner circle have shown a great comfort with financial crimes and other forms of unethical or illegal behavior to personally enrich themselves at the expense of the American people.

Ultimately, Trump's involvement with Russia's criminal underworld may have created an opening for Putin and his agents to manipulate and control the man who would later become president of the United States.

I follow Lincoln'sBible on Twitter and he has threads upon threads connecting Trump's family to several mobs, starting with his grandfather.
The latest was Michael Cohen, Trump's former fixer. Cohen's uncle owns a nightclub where a top Russian mobster had his office. Cohen got into the taxi medallion business, which at one point cost over a million dollars for a New York City medallion, and Cohen had 200 of them. Cohen had a law degree from the worst law school in the US, and started out as an ambulance chaser and other small cases. So where did all the money come from for those medallions? The answer is both nightclubs and driving taxis are "cash heavy" businesses. That makes it easy to launder cash from *other* organized crime activities. Cash is hard to trace, so you just slip some in with the legitimate business earnings.

Cohen had "loans" to buy the medallions. If those loans were from the Russian mob, they could now report the loan interest and repayments as legitimate income. The dirty money was now cleaned. The loans didn't eat up all his taxi income, so what was left over was his "cut" for laundering the money. It was enough to buy him an apartment in Trump Tower, some apartment buildings for rental income, and generally live a high lifestyle. It's probably no coincidence he became Donald's "fixer", as he could be the go-between for other Russian money coming in to the Trump businesses.

That's pretty sleazy. But I actually had to ask myself who you were referring to. Both Avenatti and Cruz are pretty disgustingly sleazy.

Trump calls on blacks to ‘honor’ Republicans with votes, then praises Confederate general Robert E. Lee
President Trump praised the Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee while asking African American voters to “honor us” by voting Republican at an Ohio rally that included an unexpected and provocative monologue on America’s Civil War history.

Addressing an open-air rally of around 4,000 supporters, Trump appeared buoyant as he declared that Lee was a “true great fighter” and “great general.” He also said President Abraham Lincoln once had a “phobia” of the Southern general, whose support of slavery has made his legacy a heavily contested and divisive issue.

Keep hitting the campaign trail for Republicans, Uncle Donald!
