I never had a favorite candidate. I was always willing to vote for writer we ended up with, because this is nothing new. He's been trying to take away my health care since he was "elected".
So yeah, if it's "cult-like" to want to keep my health care, guilty. Because another one way or another I won't survive another Dump term.
And that's why I despise Berners who are willing to throw the election to Dump. Who are attacking Biden because they harbor some delusion that this will make Bernie the candidate.
Who will write in Bernie or something completely irrelevant out of spite.
And don't tell me they don't exist. I had a new Facebook friend who was a Berner. I was fine with it until after Bernie dropped out and endorsed Biden, the guy said he was going to write in Pornhub. I told him I wouldn't survive another term of Dump. He replied, "you don't understand, I'm 100% for Bernie". "Oh, I understand just fine," I replied, and hit the unfriend button.

1: Had a chance to actually explain Democratic Socialism and didn't
2: Made no attempt to reach out to people who actually vote
3: Had minions bash the shit out of any politician who didn't kowtow to him (Warren)
4: Had a chance to win debates but apparently all he knows how to do is shout.
5: Had some real great ideas but no actual plan on how to achieve them. "Taxing the rich" is great and all but how are you actually going to get the policies enacted with a hostile Congress and Senate?

He ran, he lost. Move the fuck on. Or was the whole progressive movement full of shit?

Thats because instead of realizing a significant chunk of his 2016 success was due largely to misogyny and not his own merits, he chose to believe his own press. Instead of doing some internal assessment of why he wasn’t connecting with black voters, he focused nearly all his minority outreach on improving his Latino voting numbers, hired a bunch of Twitter trolls and people not representative of their voting communities, and changed absolutely nothing about his finger-wagging irritating personality. Then he continued to go around crying about everything being rigged against him, even though he’s been making devil’s bargains to keep his own seat and avoid facing a primary in his own district for years.

Maybe, if he’d ever had to learn to defend his own seat, he wouldn’t be so shitty at running a campaign or forming a coalition.

Agreed. I made my position clear last year. ABT (anyone but Trump). I had personal preferences among the huge pool of qualified candidates we had this cycle, but I'll vote for whoever gets the nomination.

The fact he got so few (or any?) endorsements from other democratic presidential candidates is kind of proof that he lacks enough support at the national level to get traction on his agenda. Being a great one-man-band at the local level doesn't mean you'll be a great conductor of a national symphony.

Ahhh, Bernie Sanders. Bernie did run a very flawed campaign, especially when it ended right at the feet of Joe Biden. You're right, he was never going to be able to implement any of his plans if he was not going to use the movement he built as leverage. At this point, Bernie Sanders just confuses me. I can't even say that he was legitimately trying to win the nomination. Maybe he was just sheepherding Progressives to the Establishment. Maybe I was duped, twice.

None of this makes where we're at any better. It certainly doesn't make Joe Biden any more acceptable. Losing everything doesn't make having nothing a better option.
