I'm not sad Colt Gray is alive. I'm sad that Tamir Rice isn't.

I did read today that Colt Gray has been begging for mental health help for months, and nobody did anything. His family was apparently known and had past involvement with Child Protective Services. His aunt said he had "a difficult home-life." If this is true then his parents, the CPS worker, and all those who failed to get help for this kid - and yes, he is a kid - should face charges. The parents should especially face charges if it turns out the gun belonged to them. This child's life and the lives of his victims are over because the adults in this boy's life had their heads up their asses.

And I"m sorrry - I'm against trying a 14 year old as an adult. The best thing that could happen would be for him to be found not guilty by reason of insanity, so he could be held beyond his 21st birthday. Their should be an intermediate level - where no you're not an adult, but you are old enough to do real time if you do something like that - like maybe he couldn't be sentenced to more than 30 years. I know he can't be sentenced to life without possibility of parole.

Oh hey, another one.

Manhunt underway after 5 people injured in Kentucky shooting near Interstate 75, officials say
A manhunt is underway for a suspect after five people were injured in a shooting Saturday near an interstate in a rural area of Laurel County, Kentucky, located south of Lexington, according to the sheriff’s office.

All five victims are in stable condition, and authorities are searching for one shooter, Laurel County Sheriff’s Office Public Affairs Deputy Gilbert Acciardo told CNN.

The active shooter situation occurred near Interstate 75, about nine miles north of the city of London, where “numerous persons have been shot,” said the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
Responding deputies later discovered nine vehicles had been shot into on both north and southbound lanes of the interstate, the sheriff’s office said. All five people injured had sustained gunshot injuries, Acciardo told CNN.

The London Police Department has identified 32-year-old Joseph A. Couch as a person of interest who is considered “armed and dangerous.” He is described as a White man, roughly 5 foot, 10 inches, weighing about 154 pounds, police said.

Teen arrested after Detroit raid uncovers illegal 3D-printed gun operation
A raid at the house in Detroit may have stopped several so-called ghost guns from hitting the streets after uncovering an illegal 3D-printed gun operation.

The operation was the result of a joint investigation between the Detroit Police Department and Homeland Security after they intercepted a package from China containing a Glock switch, a device that converts a handgun into a fully automatic weapon.
While 3D printers are not illegal, printing firearms with the intent to sell them, which police believe was the case here, is against the law.

Aside from uncovering this operation, police arrested a 14-year-old who is facing felony weapons charges.

Another young entrepreneur's success ruined by unnecessary meddling by the government.

When political worlds collide.

A woman who was shot and killed in West Seattle on Tuesday was being served paperwork, and a man fatally shot her as she exited her home with a shotgun, police say.
Shortly after 1 p.m. on Tuesday, two people arrived at a home on the corner of Southwest Hudson Street and Lewis Place Southwest to serve a 57-year-old woman paperwork. Documents show the property was in foreclosure and was sold in an auction on Sept. 30.

The homeowner exited her home and presented a shotgun, according to police. Then, a 40-year-old man fired his handgun, shooting the woman in the torso. The man was one of the two people serving her paperwork.

She had her medical license revoked in 2022 for failing to undergo a mental health evaluation. She was a QAnon looney.
