I’d do a Juliette (Silo), dive down, and do some underwater welding, cut the legs off and float away.
Dystopian superheroes are so far-fetched.

AI is now slopping the house hunting market.

A house near me was up for sale and had brochures in the little dispenser on the For Sale sign. I probably did a triple-take as I looked from the picture on the brochure to the house, back to the brochure -- finally it dawned on me. "OMG. It's frickin' AI."

It looked more like one of those "Painter of Light" prints than anything resembling reality. Bizarre.

Side note: I looked up that Painter of Light guy. Turns out he was an evangelical Christian with a heartfelt love of booze, Valium, and strip clubs. The booze and valium got him in the end when he OD'd at age 54. He shoulda stuck with the strip clubs; I haven't heard of many deaths directly caused by looking at tits.

If it was actually safe, I wouldn’t mind that at all. I’m thinking bird and monkey droppings would be a problem, though.

Friends and family visits would be few and far between.

No ordering pizza, no Netflix, no functioning toilet…

Alright, I’ve made my decision. It’s a no for me.

"People" often make me wish I lived in a tree house like that!

My house is on 5 acres and a bit isolated - though I have awesome neighbors. My problem is that I can't keep it up without my husband so I'm in the process of looking for a new place. OMG it is almost impossible to find a newer or remodeled home without an HOA here in Central Florida. Ahhhhhhrrrrrr! :banghead:

All my friends are like ... "just move to the villages". And I'm like OMG NO. I have a riding lawn mower, not a damn golf cart.

Also the idea of packing up this house for a move is SO daunting. I have no idea how I'm going to do it. 🤯 Life is just weird right now.

I assume you may not wish to rent out a room (because “people”) but wouldn’t it be great if you could share expenses and chores with someone you already knew, maybe in the same situation? Although, it’s hard to share space, even with friends, when you‘ve been independent for so long (nice to see people, but just as nice to see them go).

I‘m with yo, though, HOA places freak me out.

I have some inlaws we visted once in the Villages and surrounding area. The place is kind of wild. Golf cart roads. Like a week after we left there was a news story of an streaker in the little townnsquare near our hotel. Outside you find run down trailers with 4 cars on blocks in the yard next to multi million dollar looking homes on huge property.

My (now deceased) FIL down there lived near but outside the area in basically a campnground trailer. There were aligators. Just sort of... wandering around and in the water.

Trust me when I tell you that "Florida Man" is SO much scarier than the gators. :hide:
