You can relax in the spa-floor while your banana bread is baking, or crane your neck up towards the ceiling to watch some Real Housewives, unless you prefer getting a closeup of your family’s feet as they go to and fro. Maybe, if you’re lucky, your naked SO will whip around the pole a few times and the chandelier will shake and make pleasant ting ting noises.

For some, more is more, I suppose.

I can guarantee that I wouldn't be there a week before I either walked into the pole or accidentally walked into the hot tub while cooking. :bunny: I suppose that one could cook and then do a naked pole dance and then jump into the hot tub, but I'd have to be at least 30 years younger than I am now.

The building kind of looks like a building intended for commercial use repurposed into residential use. The interior doesn't make sense!

My body temp dropped at least 2 degrees just looking at it!

Honestly, now that nearly everything new out here is a slab foundation McMansion, I can't spend more than a minute in a new house without feeling like I'm in a garage.

And don't get me started on manufactured flooring tiles. Once I find the pattern (and there's always a pattern) my brain goes into flight mode and it's time to go home. (>_<)

Also, for me, walking into a place where every damn thing is white. The carpet, walls, furniture, etc. 🤢 Seriously, it makes me very anxious and I just want to leave for some reason. It feels very cold and uninviting. Which, is perhaps what they intend?

edited to say that I don't mean to dis anyone's decorating style, it's just that white everywhere makes me really uneasy. It's a personal thing I guess.

Every room in my house as at least 3 colors on the walls alone. Each room's ceilings are a different color. I think the only white thing in the house are the cleaning towels, so I can verify they are clean after washing. :)

Not gonna lie, I love white walls. For me, walls are like a blank canvas, full of possibilities, and very calming for my chaotic brain. And I wouldn’t mind living in a garage type space (as in a converted garage). I like coloured textile, and lots of different types of wood to warm in up. I even like polished concrete floors. It‘s the different textures next to each other that appeals to me, and the contrast of cold and warm, new and old. I really like the aesthetics they call wabi-sabi

I‘m not entirely sure why, but I have an aversion to painted accent walls. They’re like a crooked painting for me. One wall is one colour, the baseboards an other, the ceilings, etc. *shudder*

This is only my taste -for me-, I can still walk in someone else’s home and love how they’ve decorated in a different style then my own, and appreciate how they’ve painstakingly put things together.

The only thing I really have trouble with is bling, crystals, gold, and ultra shiny everywhere, like in that spa-kitchen. I wouldn’t feel at ease or comfortable.

I don't mind white walls if there is contrast in the decor. I'm bothered more by all white spaces, walls, ceiling, floor, furniture etc. When we sold our house in Fort Lauderdale, the people who bought it were "flippers". They did EVERYTHING in white. I was like OMG, glad I don't live here now.

I LOVE wood and warm colored textiles. I also like polished concrete, it's interesting.

Agree with you on bling. To me, it seems cluttered and while I am not really into austere, I don't care for a lot of clutter or bling either.

450 000$
In a heartbeat if I had the $ and it was in, say, Nova Scotia.

My battle-hardened-homeowner mind immediately thought, "$450,000 then your entire income plus 20% for maintenance no matter what your income might be."

Oh, and the water supply is listed as "other" and the sewer is "none." Water is a 550 gallon tank. Sewer is an electrolysis system like they use on yachts. (At least they're not just going straight to the Bay!) Electric comes from your very own big generator. I wonder what they charge to bring you a literal boatload of diesel then another boatload of potable water?

*sigh* My superpower seems to be, "Can suck the romance out of anything."

There's romance in living somewhere you can barely hitch a boat to? I mean, check out the lack of parking!

I had that on my scorecard as a plus.

Yeah, it’s not for anyone on a budget, (nor anyone who regularly sleepwalks) but since I’m only dreaming, it’s perfect.

Once the big storm hits, though, and we turn into Waterworld, you’ll all be begging to come over and sleep on my guest cot and eat my granola.

Umm, then you'll be 25,050 feet beneath the waves. Because lighthouses don't float. You know that, right? :hellokitty:

Nuh-uh, cause I’d do a Juliette (Silo), dive down, and do some underwater welding, cut the legs off and float away.
