Yeah, I know about fermented corn. But only idiots broil that!
As a third generation Norwegian I am culturally required to enjoy them.
So you are experiencing an utter no-butter bummer?Because of my current foot situation I'm having groceries delivered to my apartment. Which is working out pretty well, but I occasionally hit a snag.
I decided to get blueberry muffins from the store's bakery this week, which are pretty good. And I just had one. But, no butter. Or butter substitute. Or anything like that in my fridge.
So yeah, I want butter. Pretty basic craving, but dry muffins are not the best.
Only with the muffins at this time.So you are experiencing an utter no-butter bummer?
I think I'd devour the hell out of some Cookie Monster ice cream!I've been thinking for the past few days about getting a black raspberry frappe (a New England frappe, which is more milkshake than a traditional frappé drink) from a place way up the street from me called Lago's Ice Cream. They've won all the awards around here multiple times. I believe they make their own ice creams, with flavors like German Chocolate Cake, Orange Pineapple and Cookie Monster (blue vanilla ice cream with Chips Ahoy, Oreos and Animal Crackers ground into it - tastes better than it might sound). But that frappe... I need it now!
Fry bread with hamburger, red kidney beans, cheese, lettuce and tomato on top. Absolutely melts in your mouth. Now that I can use my cast iron cookware again.

We have a relic of the past like that near here. They come out to your car and hook a tray on your window with whatever you ordered. Weber's Root Beer - Pennsauken NJ.Childhood craving.
Growing up in Indiana, we had a regional chain of fast-food restaurants called B-K Root Beer. They were the old fashioned drive-in style, where you'd park and sit in your car, and the waitstaff would come out to you (I think ours had them on rollerskates, but I don't remember too well). Anyway, I loved going to B-K for their draft root beers, served in a big glass mug. It's a strong summer memory for me, sipping through the foam of a B-K root beer, munching on fries. It may be the greatest soda drink I've ever had.
