The Trump administration really has a hard-on for this man! A judge is ordering him released from pre-trial confinement pending trial for the charges the DoJ cooked up, but ICE has indicated they will immediately detain him and possibly deport him - again.

Exactly what I'm doing. I always thought that I would make a round trip in the USA once I would be retired.

Conversely, Mrs. Beebo and I were talking last night about how we are not comfortable leaving the U.S. to visit Mexico, which I would have liked to do one more time before I died.

Crossing the border either way now is just not a comfortable idea. I don't look obviously Hispanic, so I'm not so worried about simply strolling the streets, but crossing the border puts me under more of a spotlight. I don't know how much of my family history is available in ICE records, but the fact that my mother was a green-card holder, never a U.S. citizen, is out there somewhere. That, plus a very blatant history of left-leaning activism, is not a background I want to put to the test.

your fighting against decades of propganda and influence. The pursuit of opportunity and higher quality of life..it's been embedded for generations. People have spent years in legal battles begging to get in and live the "american dream".. you think a couple of missles, guns and some protests are gonna stop them? they likely already faced civil unrest and economic strife where they came from. word of mouth, still says It's still better for them here. if it isn't obvious allot of people in america are stuck in the illusion.. " It won't happen to me... it will never happen here... maybe i'll get lucky" the image of america is a very powerful one and unless theres a full on collapse of the system it won't go away that easily.

Next years' World Cup should be interesting, with fans from all over the world potentially crossing and recrossing the US, Mexican and Canadian borders several times during the tournament, depending on which teams they're following and how the groups work out.

On the general point, I would think that people from countries to which Trump hasn't yet taken a dislike and who aren't politically active, or at least don't talk about the US or Middle East on social media who've simply booked a summer vacation to visit Disney World and other attractions probably won't have too many worries. A tattoo belonging to a man from Derbyshire has appeared in a US government document used to identify members of Tren de Aragua, a notorious Venezuelan gang, despite the man having no connection to the group.

Pete Belton, 44, from Ilkeston says he was shocked to find his forearm featured in a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) document used to help identify alleged members of Tren de Aragua (TdA), a transnational criminal organisation.

"I'm just an average middle-aged man from Derbyshire," he told BBC Verify.

Mr Belton said it was a "bit strange, bit funny at first" but is now worried the family trip he booked to Miami with his wife and daughter in August might end up "being a six month all-inclusive holiday to Guantanamo".

Back in Derbyshire, Mr Belton says his family have considered cancelling their trip to the US due to the potential risks, but they are going to monitor how the story develops.

"Hopefully now they'd realise I'm not a Venezuelan gangster but I've seen crazier things happen in the news recently, so we're just going to wait and see."

He was pulled aside by border patrol and put into a cell, then subjugated to what he calls an abuse of power and harassment.

i think Beebo was referring to people traveling for pleasure or business, not folks looking to immigrate here.

That said, you make a very good point. There are still plenty of places in the world that make even a lot of ugliness from ICE look "not that bad."

Yeah.... if I'm fleeing a Cartel that thinks i ratted them out to Police, I'd take my chances trying to evade ICE. But if I felt comfortable anywhere else I would not risk going to the USA.
