I'm grafting "Trump is not a healthy fella" onto this thread.

On Sunday night, responding to a challenge from Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Donald Trump said he’d gladly release the results of his recent MRI — even as the president said he still had “no idea” which part of his body was scanned. A day later, the White House tried to follow through.

According to a memo from the president’s physician dated Monday, Trump received an MRI on his heart and abdomen in early October, which the document described as “standard.” The same memo said the test results came back “perfectly normal.”

This did not, however, put the matter to rest — at least not entirely. The New York Times reported soon after, “Some medical experts said it was unclear what tests doctors conducted, why they were done or what the results mean. And, they said, a person without symptoms would not have imaging tests as part of a routine medical exam under ordinary medical circumstances.”
For her part, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt characterized the medical scrutiny as “preventative, to identify any issues early.”
A "preventative" MRI. lol

Look at it this way: Compared to the age of the Earth, the end of his life is imminent.
Compared to the age of the earth, the end of all our lives and a few generation to follow are all relatively 'immediately imminent'. :ROFLMAO:

We're just asking questions.

*sigh*

I'm certainly anxious for this suppurating pustule to shuffle off this mortal coil.

However, there is a lot of medical speculation going on that is just .... well, amateurs being amateurs, I guess.

<RANT>
Of course, he could be getting Lequembi. He could also be getting any of dozens, even hundreds of other drugs, or have gotten mild sedation for some procedure. (Seems unlikely since the bruising seem to keep recurring.) An IV is an IV is an IV. There's nothing special about inserting an IV in the back of the hand versus inside the elbow, or one of a bunch of other places. The IV location doesn't tell you much of anything about the drug, although there are some that are so viscous that they can't be pushed through a small-bore IV. Basically, though, all sites connect to the same blood. If the caregivers wanted to camouflage an IV stick, for whatever reason they started an IV, it would be absolutely trivial to do so. Given his weird little phobias, I think it is likely he has a mild phobia about IV sticks and the caregivers are placating him with back-of-the-hand sticks. why are they sticking him? There's just no way to know without access to the chart. You'd be more likely to get an email from a real Nigerian prince.

Determining he "might" (lol) have dementia really does not require a wild guess about what might be an IV induced bleed on the back of the hand. If your grandma was making as little sense in private as Farty-Seven does on the international stage, you'd already be shopping for a memory care facility. That the press has not seized on the abundantly clear evidence that this asshole long ago lost the plot, rather than these flimsy speculations, is a damn crime.

The whole MRI thing has almost certainly been blown out of proportion. First, it couldn't have been an MRI. You cannot image a heart on an MRI. If you have ever had one, you know you lay there in the machine for at least a half-hour, often more like an hour. Getting your heart to hold still for a half-hour to get its picture taken is considered .... uh .... problematic. The idiot just said MRI because a reporter said it. If the reporter had asked him if he "had an SAT" he'd have claimed he got a perfect score on that. He doesn't have the brains of a remarkably dim pigeon, so he's not a reliable witness even to his own health care. It had to be a CT scan, and they said it was chest and abdomen. If you're the physician to the POTUS, who has what you might call a negative fitness regimen, you're sure as hell going to do every test you can think of to find out if this fat bastard is about to code. You do NOT want to be the doc who missed the symptom that would have told you POTUS was about to have a heart attack.

People have said "CT scans are definitely not routine." Horse hockey. I just had a full chest CT a few months ago simply because I'm old and I used to smoke. (They didn't find anything, thanks for asking.) It IS a routine procedure for a certain population of patients, and Grampa Poopypants is way deep into being a member of that population. This is a CYA move by the physician and certainly indicated by "the patient's age and lifestyle." Could it have been prompted by some symptoms? Maybe -- but the symptoms are optional in this case.</RANT>

Mrs Quandry's boss was in DC at an event for franchise owners. And they were "treated" to a speeech by the Commander in Sleep. He is not a fan at all. But as a home care professional he said he did not see signs of dementia, and he works with dementia patients every day.

Thanks for the input. And yeah... he's shown some obvious signs of troubles, but it's hard to nail down exactly what. And they obviously aren't telling us anything.

Presumably, though, he's used to dementia patients who require home care. Dementia is a process, after all, and I recall that my late uncle lived independently for several years after his diagnosis, until he needed full-time care and support. His deteriorating condition was obvious to those of us who knew him, and could compare him with how he was some years previously, but for a long time I don't think it would have been apparent to someone who encountered him only briefly, and particularly if he were delivering a prepared speech.

I remember the day after the first Puddin' Brain inauguration, there was a guy in a tiny town down South with a sign that read something along the lines of, "Trump. There's somethin' wrong with that boy."

That's the guy who was Right About Everything.

I probably should have disclosed that I also had an MRI of my head around the same time. According to an actual radiology doctor who went to college and everything, my brain is "unremarkable."

😠

Perhaps this will help head off future disappointments.

Trump's mental health -- a second opinion

F-yeah. Confabulation is exactly it.

Trump used to live way out on the periphery of my pop-culture awareness — loud, tacky background noise — and he sounded, spoke, and bullshitted far too much like my dad for me to tolerate. One of those in my life was more than enough.

But once Thunder Rump ran for office, there was no ignoring him.

Having been raised by a chronic confabulator, I spotted it in Gabber the Butt almost immediately.

“He came to me, tears in his eyes, saying Sir, sir, please!
/barf

I’m sure he’s consciously aware of some of the lies he spews. He doesn’t care. His ego positively revels in getting away with saying whatever the fuck he wants.

But every so often, the quiet part slips out loud — and it becomes obvious that, inside his delusional, divorced-from-reality, festering rot-brain, he actually believes some of it.

Or believes that by merely saying something, he has the power to make it true.

Nine long, revolting years of his nyeah-nyeah-nyeah pissant blather, and I’m still gobsmacked that so many people can’t see through it — can’t see the mendacious, spoiled little enfant terrible squirming around behind that disgusting face.

Plenty see it/saw it - they did not care. Others believed they could manipulate him into doing as they wish - the larger ones are partially correct.
