Sadly, that is unlikely to happen in my lifetime. I live in the Eastern Panhandle, which has more in common (culturally and financially) with Northern Virginia and Maryland. The rest of West Virginia only grudgingly considers us part of the state, and those areas are isolated, rural, fundamentalist and deep red.

Oh good lord! It transpires that the hydrogen peroxide is acting as a paint stripper, causing the "flag blue" paint to flake off the bottom of the reflecting pool and float up to join the green algae on the surface, so they're going to have to do the damn thing all over again.

You could not make this up.
