In an undercover operation last year, the FBI recorded Tom Homan, now the White House border czar, accepting $50,000 in cash after indicating he could help the agents — who were posing as business executives — win government contracts in a second Trump administration, according to multiple people familiar with the probe and internal documents reviewed by MSNBC.

The FBI and the Justice Department planned to wait to see whether Homan would deliver on his alleged promise once he became the nation’s top immigration official. But the case indefinitely stalled soon after Donald Trump became president again in January, according to six sources familiar with the matter. In recent weeks, Trump appointees officially closed the investigation, after FBI Director Kash Patel requested a status update on the case, two of the people said.

It’s unclear what reasons FBI and Justice Department officials gave for shutting down the investigation. But a Trump Justice Department appointee called the case a “deep state” probe in early 2025 and no further investigative steps were taken, the sources say.

With doctors who provide gynecological and obstetric care fleeing states with strict abortion bans, many pregnant women in the US do not have access to competent medical care at all. As a result, more babies are being born sick, and more of them are dying. Women from states such as Florida report being forced to carry fetuses that have no chance of surviving, and then being forced to watch those infants suffer and die in the moments after birth. As Kennedy continues with his search for the causes of autism, his eugenic project will inevitably extract more and more coercion and violence on the bodies of pregnant women. Today’s fearmongering about Tylenol is only the beginning.

I wasn't done. For all the wonders of modern medicine, pain control is really crude. There's essentially aspirin and all its NSAID cousins like ibuprofen. NSAIDS munch your stomach. There are opioids and we know all the crap that comes with them. And then, all by its lonesome, is acetampinophen, the most benign of all of them, and these assholes want to deny that pain relief to -- surprise! -- women.

And during pregnancy especially pain relief can be dangerous. Aspirin is a blood thinner. Ibuprofen can lead to liver damage. Opioids and other strong pain relievers have even worse impacts on the fetus. Acetaminophen is the least bad option. But it is far better than leaving pain and fever untreated. Fever in the mother can lead to neurological damage. In fact several of the studies they cite mention that underlying conditions that include fever may be contributing to autism, and the Tylenol was unable to fully treat the problems. Trump's "tough it out" line was particularly insulting to women, many of whom take as few medications as possible during pregnancy already, and increases the odds that untreated fever will cause more damage to the mother and child.

The footage, which was captured by a reporter from the social media outlet Brut, appears to show the French president saying he needs to get to his country’s consulate.

“I’m sorry, president, I’m really sorry, everything has been frozen, there’s a motorcade coming right now,” an officer tells Macron.

The president then looks out over the empty street and replies: “If you don’t see it, let me cross. I’ll negotiate with you.”

Macron, who remains stuck behind a metal barrier, takes out his phone and appears to call Trump directly. Leaning on the barrier, he says, laughingly: “How are you? Guess what? I’m waiting in the street because everything is frozen for you.”

Macron later appears to be allowed through on foot but not in his car. Still on his phone, he proceeds to stride off down the street, past shoppers and pedestrians. The reporter from Brut said Macron walked for about 30 minutes with his security detail. He stopped and posed with passersby who asked for photographs, including one encounter with a man who kissed him on the forehead.
