Trump just ignores laws and no one even tries to stop him. But more to the point, up until Trump we've never needed laws for every possible permutation of corruption because it was simply understood that you didn't do that. He shrugs off conventional behavior and everyone around him tries to pretend "this is normal, this so normal, look how normal this is".

Or even better the almighty Trabant, the choosen car of many people in the GDR and friend for life! Featuring such stellar technology like two stroke engine, a gravitational fuel pump - the fuel tank was in the trunk above the engine, so just don't forget to open the lever before you want to start the engine, and best of all plastic everywhere! Delivery times where about 10-18 years, something like that. And you only bought normally 1 per life, and didn't bother to get another car because there was not much choice to begin with.

It also perfectly honors the right to repair, because you can repair almost everything on this little beauty with average skill with normal tools!

Yes, but due to fuel pump shortage it was the standard arrangement in that trunk. Well communist countries had to find creative ways around shortages which western countries never had.
