He is so desperate to go down in history books he is blind to the fsct that he already is going to be well known as the worst fucking president.

Nah, that's still James Buchanan because the Civil War started on his watch. Trump pretty much jumped to #2 almost immediately in his first term though, which is quite a feat. Trump sending red state troops to blue states is just fallout from the Civil War. As is pretty much every action and policy of the current version of the Republican party. Which again is one of the reasons Buchanan is still #1 worst President.

Buchanan was an ass of a President. Especially how he leaned so heavily into his "States Rights" beliefs, as well as the Dredd Scott decision, to shut down any anti-slavery arguments. He totally earned that "doughface" nickname. But he did maintain his promise of one term (which one can debate gave us Lincoln as the 16th POTUS); and I don't recall him ever making any overt efforts to control the country under a proto-fascist rule.

Trump embarassed Zelensky again: Russia proposed building a train tunnel between Russia and Alaska. Trump called the idea "Interesting", and is open to it. Trump wants to hand over the construction work to Musk's Boring Company, which by now has not replied to the idea yet.

Zelensky asked about his opinion told "I am not happy with this idea."

The GBT extends Europe's "Blue Banana" into Northern Italy. A tunnel under the Bering Straight would connect two sparsely populated regions of negligible economic value.

The Russian counterpart is the Amur Highway, which ends at the city of Khabarovsk near the Russian-Chinese border. From there, it's another 3,900 kilometers [2,423 miles] to the Bering Straight.

That city wasn't even connected to the rest of Russia until a few years ago.

The entire region is slowly being taken over by the Chinese due to Russia's weakness - if it were ever built, that land connection would inevitably be used for trade between them and America. Trump is basically talking about building a tunnel to China.
