Only now he is the SoW
That makes him a female pig. I wonder if he's realized that, and started to convince Trump to go back to SoD.

Puts me in mind of our Business Education Department that printed thousands of flyers which said BAD in large red letters across the front. The whole lot of them had never noticed that it clearly said "BAD Education at Wallace Community College." They were distributed anyway hmm eleven or twelve years ago; the department is shuttered now.

Reuters: US government faces brain drain as 154,000 federal workers exit this week

WASHINGTON, Sept 30 (Reuters) - More than 150,000 federal employees will leave the U.S. government payroll this week after accepting buyouts - the largest single-year exodus of civil servants in nearly 80 years, triggering what unions and governance experts warn is a damaging loss of institutional expertise.
The official resignations begin on Tuesday for workers who opted into a deferred exit program that kept them on the payroll through September. The buyouts are a cornerstone of President Donald Trump’s push to shrink the federal workforce, combining financial incentives with threats of dismissal for those who declined the offer.

I saw a comment which pointed out that those 800+ flag officers on average have dedicated about 30 years of their life to their service in the armed forces.

So in that room, over 24,000 years of combined military experience got fat-shamed by Whiskeyleaks Kegsbreath & Cadet Bonespurs.

Yep. That meeting will live in infamy in ways Trump and Whiskey man can't comprehend. Just imagine the confident stupidity it takes to stand up in front of a bunch of, mostly very conservative, generals and tell them they are too woke. Trump and his stooge are going to help them fix a problem they made the fuck up.

Fat shaming is bad in general (pun not intended) but especially stupid when generals aren't supposed to be fit as fuck given they are generally OLD. Senior leaders don't need to be able to run the same obstacle course that special operations people do.

The Guardian Veterans react to Hegseth’s ‘insulting’ address to generals and admirals

Naveed Shah, a veteran and activist who served as an enlisted public affairs specialist – an army journalist – uncharacteristically found himself searching for words to describe the address of the newly styled secretary of war to flag officers on Tuesday.

“A lot of the words that are coming to me aren’t fit to print,” said Shah, policy director for Common Defense, a veterans advocacy organization. “The people in that room who have served for 20, 30-plus years in uniform do not need Pete Hegseth to tell them about warrior ethos.”
Tamara Stevens, a former navy cryptological technician, said she found Hegseth’s discussion of “lethality” more alarming than anything else, given the context that Trump provided later with comments about using deployments to American cities as a training ground.

“Basically, he’s saying that we’re no better than Hamas because people are joining because they want to break things and they want to kill people,” she said. “I mean, for anyone that’s been in the military, he’s not qualified to be secretary of defense. He’s barely qualified to be a host on Fox News.

“But to say these things in front of the preeminent generals and admirals leading our military? Has he no honor, to say that we don’t belong in polite society? Maybe he doesn’t.”

Pritzker compares Trump to Putin, calls for invoking 25th Amendment for suggesting military use Chicago as "training grounds"
After President Donald Trump on Tuesday suggested cities like Chicago should be used as "training grounds for our military," Gov. JB Pritzker said the 25th Amendment should be invoked to remove the president from office, saying "there is something genuinely wrong with this man."

"It appears that Donald Trump not only has dementia set in, but he's copying tactics of Vladimir Putin. Sending troops into cities, thinking that that's some sort of proving ground for war, or that indeed there's some sort of internal war going on in the United States is just, frankly, inane and I'm concerned for his health," Pritzker said Tuesday afternoon. "There is something genuinely wrong with this man, and the 25th Amendment ought to be invoked."

All Pete had to offer was a stream of word salad and patriotism, like he was wearing a pleated skirt doing high kicks.

I turned it off before Donnie opened his yap.
Mostly it was blah blah no more DEI, no more men in dresses (like that was ever a thing), women must meet same physical requirements as men or get out, anyone who doesn't like it can leave. I pretty much tuned out at that point.

Wait -- he actually said we're going to build battleships? Giant slow targets that have to get much closer to the enemy than ships carrying those newfangled "guided missile" thingamabobs? Those behemoths that have been obsolete since WWII????

I'm no expert, and maybe Katheryne Helendale can fact-check me on this, but my "casual spectator" opinion is that any modern USN destroyer is capable of inflicting orders of magnitude more pure hell than any battleship ever dreamed. That's not to even mention the real replacement for battleships; those floating airports with all those bangity-bangity, boomity-boomity fast flying things all gassed up and ready to go on minutes' notice.

I guess some people really need to compensate for certain, shall we say, shortcomings, but isn't a pointless battleship a bit much even for Mr. Mushroom Peen?
Yep, that's all pretty accurate. I'm hoping he used the term "battleship" as a generic term for any and all warships. It would make the most sense, but I'm not holding my breath on that.
