The DOJ isn't going to be able to do a damn thing about the traitor, at least in regard to his incitement. It would be seen as purely political. The traitor would surely be howling as would his sycophants/fellow traitors. I am thoroughly disgusted by the entire thing, completely and thoroughly disgusted by the so very many people who don't care about or don't understand democracy and am losing hope that he will ever face justice in any manner.

I'm becoming resigned to the fact that we will probably have him in the office of the president once more and god help us all.

I think he is going to find himself embroiled in court cases until he dies. Not that that would dissuade him from running.

If they vote to acquit, first go after their major campaign donors, which you can look up at opensecrets.org. Get their donors to stop contributing, tell them why, boycott, threaten "X company supports insurrection" campaign, etc. Second, support whoever runs against them, assuming they are not also anti-democracy cretins. Third, pressure them to resign. If you get a standard form letter in return, post it on social media, send to newspapers, etc.

Following Thursday's closing arguments from House impeachment managers, Trump's lawyer David Shoen told reporters that he met with the Republicans with regard to the "procedure" for Friday's hearing.

The senators meeting with Trump's attorney has raised eyebrows as they have sworn an oath to "do impartial justice according to the Constitution and laws" during the trial. However, when asked by CNN's Mau Raju if it was appropriate for the jurors to meet with the former president's lawyer outside impeachment, Schoen said, “I think that’s the practice of impeachment. There’s nothing about this thing that has any semblance of due process whatsoever.”

This would be classified as jury tampering in a criminal trial and would likely land Mr. Frum in jail for contempt of court.
