I talked to my aunt who was watching it and she had to turn it off as it was getting to her. Fork-tongued liars was how she presented it to me. I, of course, didn't watch it as it may have made me want to toss things at the tv.
She doesn't understand how it is that their very lives were in danger, yet they behave in this manner; that it wasn't just democrats that they wished to kill, but any republican who did not do their bidding, as well. Yeah, you got me. Power and money are a powerful aphrodisiac I guess, or even just the possibility of it. He is so mercurial that their power isn't guaranteed. He will turn on them. It will be just like the "They came for the socialists...." poem written by Niemoller. They already want to murder dems. They won't be spared. Those who so much as looked at him wrong will be on his hitlist and he will energize his army of zombies against them, too.
That is what he represents to me. A vulgar, childish, villainous, unlawful and petty tyrant that they wish to keep inflicting upon us for their own reasons.
We already know the end result of the trial. The question remains as to how much more damage will be done to this democracy, rule of law, truth and justice.
