The problem with inflation is that nobody - low-information conservatives especially - seems to understand what it is or how it works. They see that prices are high and think inflation is high. They don't realize that prices don't actually go down unless the economy is cratering. I got into it with some Trumper on Threads about that, and ultimately ended up blocking him because I just couldn't with his blind ignorance.

I think a lot of straight white men just feel very threatened by the fact that they were becoming just another demographic, rather than the clearly dominant one. Equality feels like oppression to them. About 25% of straight white men accept this, and the rest just can't.
