It's fun to see Nobody win the primary, but the important point is that she keeps getting a significant share of the vote. Trump will be the nominee, no question. And Haley isn't much better. But losing 35% of the vote is bad news for Trump even if he isn't named on the ballot.

I'm already tired of the GOP primaries. They just don't matter when the Orange asshole is at the mic. If SCOTUS doesn't kick him off the ballot, we have to vote him off.

I have this automatic kneejerk reaction whenever his face is on TV. I call it "Pick a finger, Donnie".

Starts.. well, it started in 2021. But let's start the thread on a high, crazy note. And if you're Nikki Haley, a low, crazy one.

Why AP called the Nevada GOP primary for ‘None of these candidates’
I really don't understand Nevada's GOP primary, and I don't think half the Nevadans do either. Pretty much every state has either a primary or a caucus. Nevada's GOP decided to do both. And to make it make even less sense, one can't participate in both, including the candidates. So you have Haley unopposed in the Primary - and apparently lost - and Trump in the Caucus all by himself. I just don't get it. At all.

It's all fluff and nonsense.

Even if Haley won the primary, it wouldn't have mattered technically because no delegates will be awarded from it. I think it was all about optics: Haley winning the primary would have gotten her a lot of press a few days before the caucus, thereby possibly drowning out Trump. But as we know, only Trump can drown Trump.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign is in disarray amid an exodus of campaign workers who say disorganization, lavish spending, amateurish leadership, and a severe disconnect between the campaign and the candidate’s values have led the long-shot bid for the presidency astray.

Fourteen members of Kennedy24 have resigned since the start of the year, including 12 field staff and two main staff, according to multiple sources who spoke with Mediaite on the condition of anonymity. One source close to the campaign pinned the turmoil on two leaders: Amaryllis Fox Kennedy, campaign manager and Kennedy’s daughter-in-law, and Del Bigtree, an anti-vaccine activist who serves as the campaign’s communications director.
The source described Fox Kennedy and Bigtree as “self-serving” operatives who were “making decisions based on their own personal advancement opportunities, and not acting in the best interest of the candidate.”

A major point of contention within the campaign has been the eye-watering payouts to campaign leadership revealed in FEC reports.
Grifting on the independent side of the political fence.

With all the R-wing bitching about Biden's age, Laughing at a diminished Donald Trump won't diminish the MAGA threat

Maybe not, but I can't help myself when I see a goofy, brain-damaged orange circus clown pretending he knows anything.

There is nothing funny about Donald Trump and the extreme danger to the country and world he represents. To laugh now is a dangerous distraction and waste of energy in what will be a long battle to save America’s multiracial pluralistic democracy.

So, about that Biden AI-infused robocall telling Dems not to vote in the New Hampshire primary last month...

A Democratic consultant who worked for a rival presidential campaign paid a New Orleans magician to use artificial intelligence to impersonate President Joe Biden for a robocall that is now at the center of a multistate law enforcement investigation, according to text messages, call logs and Venmo transactions the creator shared with NBC News.

Paul Carpenter says he was hired in January by Steve Kramer — who has worked on ballot access for Democratic presidential candidate Dean Phillips — to use AI software to make the imitation of Biden’s voice urging New Hampshire Democrats not to vote in the state’s presidential primary.
“I created the audio used in the robocall. I did not distribute it,” Carpenter said in an interview in New Orleans, where he is currently residing. “I was in a situation where someone offered me some money to do something, and I did it. There was no malicious intent. I didn’t know how it was going to be distributed.”

Kramer expressed no remorse for creating the deepfake, in which an imitation of the president’s voice discouraged participation in New Hampshire’s Democratic presidential primary. The call launched several law enforcement investigations and provoked outcry from election officials and watchdogs.

“The evening of Sunday, January 20th, 2 days before the New Hampshire primary, I sent out an automated call to 5,000 most likely to vote Democrats. Using easy to use online technology, an automated version of President Joe Biden’s voice was created,” Kramer said in a statement shared first with NBC News.
Kramer said more enforcement is necessary to stop people like him from doing what he did.

“With a mere $500 investment, anyone could replicate my intentional call,” Kramer said. “Immediate action is needed across all regulatory bodies and platforms.”
What a piece of shit. "We need more legal barriers to stop people like me fucking around but not finding out."

This is important. Everyone should read it and spread it around, because it is a valid, legal plan to end our democracy. It isn't getting anything like to coverage it should, other than some low-volume youtube channels.
