Americans are ready to cancel Trump's tiresome shitshow

As we head into this week’s Democratic National Convention, the excitement and joy brought to the presidential campaign by Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz threatens to drown convicted felon Donald Trump and his riz-free running mate, VC Hillbillyfake, in a sea of MAGA tears and whiny, predictable complaints about a very unfair, rigged election.

There are 79 days until Nov. 5. The race is in a state of flux, and as we’ve seen over the past seven or eight weeks, unexpected things can happen! What if Ted Nugent and Kid Rock start barnstorming around the country to checkmate the Swifties? What if Trump’s campaign gets hacked again because Roger Stone falls for yet another porn-related phishing email?

(Full disclosure: I have no evidence that the email Stone opened to enable the recent hack of Trump’s campaign was porn-related. But let that rumor begin here today. Also, Stone’s colorful personal history certainly suggests it’s possible.)

While the youthful and buoyant energy brought to the campaign by Harris and Walz is palpable, there’s something else at play here. A veil has been lifted, and that veil was Joe Biden. More specifically, it was the intense focus in the media on the 81-year-old president’s age and mental acuity, which diverted the public’s attention from the awfulness of Trump’s vile and narcissistic character, not to mention the insurrectionist-in-chief’s own increasingly apparent cognitive decline.

Biden has passed the torch to Harris, and the presidential race no longer is about the incumbent’s frailties and flaws. Instead, it has become a referendum on Trump’s rage- and ego-fueled psychopathic impulses and on Republican plans to impose Project 2025’s extremist agenda on Americans. Thankfully, more people seem to either be waking up to the reality of Trump’s demented psyche or just tired of the shitshow. The polls and “vibe” don’t lie.

The ‘Spark’ Is Gone: Ex-GOP Congressman Hits Trump With Stark Election Warning

Former Rep. David Jolly (R-Fla.) said that as things stand right now, Donald Trump will lose the election as voters grow tired of his act and more enthusiastic about Vice President Kamala Harris.
And Trump’s rambling speeches, which go on so long that some fans have been walking out before they’re over, aren’t helping.

“He’s more like the aging rock star whose fans have kind of faded away, so it’s more like a reunion tour for him,” Jolly ― a longtime Trump critic ― said on MSNBC on Sunday. “It just doesn’t quite have the spark it had in 2016, and the lack of enthusiasm is there as well and he’s not helping himself.”
You mean, like Keith Richards?

Wait, people actually LIKE Keith.

I wonder if he can be sued for that. If not, then can anyone just make AI images of trump saying anything and have the Harris campaign repost them?

When they go low, punch them in the dick.

(I know, that’s not how the saying goes…)

The panicky whiff of desperation from MAGA (and Trump) is so prevalent. They are quite literally shaking in their boots about...Swifties.
I would put good money on any random Swiftie being completely against Trump.

I mean, she literally put out an entire music video and song making fun of MAGA types with You Need To Calm Down.

Maybe of she was still "Country Taylor", but that has not been the case for like, a decade.

And even then you could argue that tracks like Mean are also directed at these idiots cult types.

I don't see how he can be sued for just reposting fake images of fake Swifties wearing fake t-shirts. (I think the ones with the single, very blonde girl are real. And she seems to be a willing participant.)

I wouldn't be against the Harris social media team responding in kind. But they can post stuff like real images of real people wearing real REPUBLICANS FOR HARRIS gear. So why bother? Also would avoid the freak out from the news media if they did something like that, amiright?

If you want to punch them in the dick, I would happily donate to your legal defense fund.

By the way, I'd find it smarter for the Harris team to keep up with their present methodology, which is to repost what Trump puts out, and then mockingly comment on it. Maybe for this, something like the following is in order:

"Former President Trump accepts an AI-generated (FAKE) endorsement from an AI-generated (FAKE) Taylor Swift and her fans. That seems weird, doesn't it?"

Or maybe a little more ball-punchy:

"By posting AI-generated images of Taylor Swift and her fan base claiming to support him, Donald Trump continues his long history of not caring about obtaining a woman's consent before forcing himself — figuratively and literally — on them."

This. Most definitely. You know it will make him have to order more catsup.

Ha! For this, I could almost welcome Buzzfeed back into my bookmarks.

I have to admit that I think Tim Walz is more likely to fall for an email phishing scam because JD Vance would probably recognize a follow con artist.

Tim Walz is also more likely to forget taking the chicken out of the freezer because nobody would expect JD Vance to do any household chores in the first place.

"Both Biden and Harris should be asked how they plan to handle this crisis."

How are "they"" going to handle the crisis? Remember when all a political party had to deal with was how to get elected? I mean, I know - I get it. But fuck, man. Anyhow, here's one thing they're doing:
