"I did not carry a weapon overseas in my country's service so I could come home see... "
I mean, I can see where you're coming from. But he was in the military deployed abroad. It's kinda what they do. He didn't make any attempt at sugarcoating that, particularly when what he had to do overseas wasn't his point. He’s flashing his Imperialist badge there. Here’s one of the actual tweets, check some of the replies on how terrifying it looks to people outside the USA.
He could have made that look a lot less like a Freudian slip.(Another reason why diplomacy skills matter.)
A'ight, four drafts later because you guys are worth the effort.I mean, I can see where you're coming from. But he was in the military deployed abroad. It's kinda what they do. He didn't make any attempt at sugarcoating that, particularly when what he had to do overseas wasn't his point.

Oh wow, an Alberta energy company just distributed an image depicting some kinda rape fantasy image of Greta Thunberg. Google that shit yourself if you need to be traumatized.
Narang said she called the general manager of X-Site, Doug Sparrow, asking him if he knew about the sticker that appears to depict the rape of a minor. He said he was aware of it, according to Narang, and his response was, “She’s not a child, she’s 17.”

In law, a minor is a person under a certain age
"We wouldn't have dreamed of issuing the sticker if she'd been a couple of years younger. We're not evil pedophiles. But jokes about raping 17-year-olds are just perfectly normal good clean fun. Where's your sense of humour?"Michelle Narang: "Do you know about the sticker that appears to depict the rape of a minor?"
Doug Sparrow: “She’s not a child, she’s 17.”

You know.....yeah okay, I get it. But.....I dunno. I'd have to read those books before I knocked them. "Don't judge a book by its cover" was made for situations like this.
When I was in elementary school there were books that talked about serious topics like death, abuse, or catastrophe in kid-understandable ways and that usually meant some kind of childish story. I remember being given a comic where a kid is about to get molested by a babysitter and actual Spider-Man busts in to save him and of course give the reader advice about what you should do if someone tries to molest you. Describing it sounds so cringe I know, but also....it's like decades later and I still remember the story, and the message, and like Head & Shoulders making your scalp tingle I figure that means it's working.
