So does she, really:

Because you can tell someone's immigration status by looking at them, right? Oh yeah, if they're brown, they must be. This is one of the many, many reasons why what is being done is so insidious. These MAGA idiots are being made to believe that they have the right to look at a person and turn them in. I don't think I have to relate how George Orwell depicted that particular scenario.

I bet she is one of the Republicans (although in her case, I really doubt she was a lifelong Republican, I suspect more that she's just a Trump cult follower) up in arms over his plan to drop immigrants into Trump's political foes' backyard because "Not hurting the right people.""

Or in non-fiction, East German Unofficial Collaborators, Soviet Informants, Polish Secret Collaborators.

TIL the word "supersessionism" in this tweet about a West Virgina news station's explanation of Passover: (Be sure to read the last screencap)
Wow. Just wow! I'm not Jewish, and even I spotted the error right away! I'm pretty certain Passover predated Christ's crucifixion by a few hundred years.

I like some of the comments that asked if this is a Sinclair-owned station. It isn't, but I was wondering as well.

Just this bizarre, bizarre story of a Florida high school student who was obsessed with the Columbine massacre, who spontaneously decided to travel to Colorado this week where she bought a weapon and ammunition from a gun store only two miles away from Columbine. Police learning about these events became extremely concerned, and Columbine and many schools in the area were locked down yesterday while authorities searched for her. They found her today, in a nature park, having killed herself with the weapon she bought.

What the actual rusty f-word is this

A group calling itself Genesis II Church of Health and Healing plans to convene at a hotel resort in Washington state on Saturday to promote a “miracle cure” that claims to cure 95% of all diseases in the world by making adults and children, including infants, drink industrial bleach.

The group is inviting members of the public through Facebook to attend what they call their “effective alternative healing” at the Icicle Village Resort in Leavenworth on Saturday morning. The organizer of the event, Tom Merry, has publicized the event on his personal Facebook page by telling people that learning how to consume the bleach “could save your life, or the life of a loved one sent home to die”.

The “church” is asking attendants of the meeting to “donate” $450 each, or $800 per couple, in exchange for receiving membership to the organization as well as packages of the bleach, which they call “sacraments”. The chemical is referred to as MMS, or “miracle mineral solution or supplement”, and participants are promised they will acquire “the knowledge to help heal many people of this world’s terrible diseases”.

In fact, MMS consists of chlorine dioxide, a powerful bleach that is used both on textiles and in the industrial treatment of water. It has been banned in several countries around the world for use as a medical treatment.

The headline attraction of Saturday’s event in Leavenworth is Mark Grenon, a self-appointed “bishop” of the Genesis II Church. He is author of a book titled Imagine A World Without Dis-Ease: Is It Possible?

In a video posted on the “church’s” website, Grenon says that the “sacramental protocols” sold by the group can eliminate 95% of the world’s diseases, including malaria, ebola, dengue fever, all types of cancer, diabetes, autism, HIV and multiple sclerosis. It sells 4oz bottles of sodium chlorite as “sacramental cleansing water” for $15, giving instructions on how to mix it with citric acid to make chlorine dioxide.

The Guardian contacted Grenon to ask why he was peddling industrial bleach described by the FDA as potentially dangerous as a miracle cure, but he did not immediately respond.

As promotion for the event, Merry has posted on Facebook a link to a video which claims to show people with malaria being cured in two hours. The video shows a British advocate of MMS travelling to a village in Uganda where he arranges for several villagers to be given the “miracle cure”.

One of the victims shown in the film is an infant lying in his or her mother’s arms who is made to drink a cup of the bleach. The child screams as the fluid is swallowed.
I don't even know wth to say to this. Bleach, guys. They're telling people to drink actual, literal bleach.

Extremist cleric to open terrorist school.

In Nazi Germany, the NS-Ordensburgen ("National Socialist Order Castles", singular Ordensburg), also called Schulungsburgen, were schools developed for elite Nazi military echelons. There were strict requirements for admission to the schools. Junker candidates had to be aged between 25 and 30 years old, belong to either the Nazi Party, the Hitler Youth, the Sturmabteilung, or the Schutzstaffel, be physically completely healthy, and be pure-blooded with no hereditary defects. The term Ordensburg was borrowed by the Nazis from the historic Teutonic Order.

Under the reforms of the National Socialist Party, special schools for the children of important Nazi leaders were established. “Adolf Hitler Schools” were established for the elementary grades, and Ordensburgen were established for post-secondary school students. These schools were supposed to turn out future Party elite leaders, trained in both technical subjects and Nazi ideology. Ordensburgen were designed for students who had completed the Adolf Hitler Schools, undergone six months of cumpulsory labor-service training, two years in the army, and who had already chosen their profession.[1]

Because the students were so isolated and their education was so specialized, they were often perceived as arrogant while knowing little of practical value. Many high-ranking Nazi officials chose not to send their children to these schools. Even Martin Bormann sent only one of his more troublesome sons to an Adolf Hitler School, as a form of punishment.[2]

The schools themselves were typically stark, modern structures with extensive facilities. Vogelsang, for instance, reportedly contained the world's largest gymnasium at the time. Each student was supposed to attend all four institutions in sequence, finishing at the historic site of the Medieval Marienburg for training that included live-fire military exercises.

The three institutions for education of political leaders and their educational focuses that were built were:

focus: racial philosophy of the new order

focus: administrative and military tasks and diplomacy. This facility was used by Germany's Bundeswehr until end of 2007.

focus: development of character

According to the training model, students were to spend one year at each castle in order to become familiar with each educational focus. The fourth and final Ordensburg, planned for the site of the historic Malbork Castle in West Prussia, was never built.

2000 years ago:

Jesus: "Hey guys, let's celebrate Passover at Ben's place this weekend. We can smoke weed and get high and stuff, I'll provide the booze!"
Peter: "I don't know, man. Don't you think it's a bit weird to celebrate your crucifiction? Seems like a bad omen to me."
