A nurse at a hospital in Virginia has been charged in connection with an incident that left a premature baby suffering from mysterious fractures – though investigators suspect multiple babies have experienced similar abuse.

Erin Elizabeth Ann Strotman, 26, of Chesterfield County, Virginia, a former nurse at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit was charged with malicious wounding and felony child abuse Friday, according to a Henrico County police press release and booking records.

The shocking arrest came on the back of a wider year-long investigation that discovered multiple infants who suffered similar “fractures”, the Henrico Doctors’ Hospital said Friday.

It doesn't say in any of the news reports I found on this, but some online talk point to a likely racial issue (the babies may all be African-American).

Las Vegas police officials have revealed that active duty Green Beret soldier Matthew Livelsberger, who fatally shot himself and blew up a rented Tesla Cybertruck just outside the Trump Towers hotel in Las Vegas last week, used generative AI — including OpenAI's ChatGPT — to plan his attack.

As the Associated Press reports, a review of Livelsberger’s queries on ChatGPT suggests he was not only researching explosive targets, but was also studying the speed of bullets, how far they would travel, and even whether fireworks were legal in Arizona (they are, but only 27 days of the year).

Adam Anson, 37, now faces several charges in connection to the case, including second-degree murder, according to WSVN-TV.

Investigators said that on Saturday morning Anson went to the efficiency apartment connected to his home, WSVN noted. He was armed with a semi-automatic pistol.

Anson wanted to adjust the thermostat and forced his way into the apartment and punched the resident, police said.

The landlord then dragged the unnamed victim outside the residence, where he shot him several times in the head.

Anson then walked back into the apartment, adjusted the thermostat and called 911, WSVN reported.
