If it weren't for the fact that a certain percentage of us cannot use a particular vaccine because of immune system problems, I would say "yes, it is a 'self-solving problem', too." But such persons need the rest of us to vaccinate to give them herd immunity. One vaccinates for oneself or one's children, but we benefit a wider group thereby, which is a glorious bonus.

I'm not one of those who cannot or do not vaccinate; I'm loaded with vaccines for whatever as soon as they are available or when I'm due, whichever comes first. The evidence for vaccines is pretty clear: vaccination is one of the main reasons we have a significantly longer average lifetime than the generations that have gone before.

And a significantly larger population (global as well). The more people there are, the more problems and fewer solutions.

Someone's Cybertruck just caught fire and exploded in front of the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, killing someone in the vehicle and injuring several bystanders. Much as I'd like to appreciate the irony, there's a chance this was intentional, as it seems the thing had some fireworks inside it that went off during and after the explosion.

Of course, someone on Reddit was compelled to ask if this was a custom Tesla explosion or a regular factory-installed one.

I did not laugh. No, really, I'm not that kind of person.

It does occur to me that these dim bulbs startle easily, so perhaps some misinformation could somehow cause them to all congregate in close quarters with results to follow. Perhaps Texas or Florida.
