Bookmarking that for a relative who actually thought Christian Cooper was the scary one, just based on his saying he was going to give her dog treats and she “wouldn’t like it.” Most people responding to his Facebook post are taking it in the context of him wanting to get the dog out of the Ramble or on the leash, but some people are view it as menacing and sounding like he wanted to poison the dog. They were showing part of the video from Minneapolis on one of the morning shows, and at one point the cop actually repositions his knee so it's more firmly on the guy's neck. I mean WTF? There's no way he didn't know what he was going.

The watching news about the fires, and people saying that it's not helping anything. I thought - what if it was my son? What if my beautiful boy had his life stolen from him, and all that happened was that his killers got fired? I'd burn the whole fucking world down - right after I'd hunted down that fucking cop and put my knee on his neck for 8 minutes.

I can see he needs time to prepare a case, but unless he's turned up evidence that completely exonerates the officer -- a signed confession by his evil twin brother, maybe -- but if he's got sufficient evidence on which a reasonable jury, properly directed, could convict, then I'd have thought the correct course of action would be to share that with the defence, along with all the other material relevant to the case, and let it form part of their answer to any charges.

It's up to the jury, surely, to decide what the evidence proves, not the prosecution.
