OMG so stressful. I’m terrible in these types of situations. I would have just wanted to barrel through or start a fight. I know, not much smarter, but makes me so angry.

If he wanted his bag so much, why didn’t he (and others with the same POS gene) scooch over in the seats and let the others pass.

Turkey approves ‘massacre law’ to remove millions of stray dogs

Turkish legislators have approved a law aimed at removing millions of stray dogs from the country’s streets that animal lovers fear will lead to many of the dogs being killed or ending up in neglected, overcrowded shelters.

Some critics also say the law will be used to target the opposition, which made huge gains in the latest local elections. The legislation includes penalties for mayors who fail to carry out its provisions and the main opposition party has promised not to implement it.

Uh boy...

A significant error was made in a headline on a story in Friday’s print sports section about Algerian boxer Imane Khelif incorrectly describing her as transgender. She is not. Additionally, our initial correction of this error neglected to note that she was born female. We recognize the magnitude of this mistake and have corrected it in the epaper, the electronic version of the printed Globe. This editing lapse is regrettable and unacceptable and we apologize to Khelif, to Associated Press writer Greg Beacham, and to you, our readers.
Looks like the lawyers had a chat with the editors.

And the headline with the "significant error"?

Transgender boxer advances
That was the entirety of it. Someone needs to get fired. Maybe a number of someones.

EDIT: I hadn't realized just how bad it was: The news piece was not a Boston Globe story, but rather from the AP, and they did not have this as its headline. Which means at least one editor at the Globe changed the headline.

The sequel will probably be better.

It's really adorable that you think newspapers still have editors.

This is a little way past "Florida Man/Woman" so it goes here instead.

Police got called to an Orlando-area couple's home for complaints that a neighborhood woman was assaulting and harassing them. Once things were separated, the couple told the police that the woman had been shouting weird culty religious nonsense and trying to get them to come with her to her house, but they refused because well duh. The officers decided to go to the woman's house instead to check on her family, and walked into an ambush, with one officer being killed and two others wounded. Afterwards the woman's husband and two adult daughters killed themselves.

The woman admitted her original intent was to lure the couple to her home for her husband to kill because they had "dark souls". She's being charged with the police officer's murder as an accomplice, among other things I'd imagine.

This is the first article I've seen that has an actual recent photo of Gates. I swear every freaking article and social media post you see about him still uses a picture from like 40 years ago.
Wait, are you saying he's not drinking baby brain juice to retain his youth?

OMG you guys this one is awesome.

Last October, Kanokporn Tangsuan, a doctor from New York, visited Disney World in Florida with her husband and mother. Doctor Tangsuan died after eating food that contained allergens she was deadly allergic to, despite the staff at the particular restaurant repeatedly assured them that it did not.

Tangsuan's husband is now suing on behalf of her estate for negligence. Disney however is asking the court to force Tangsuan's husband into arbitration. According to them, when he signed up for a free month-long Disney+ streaming trial in 2019, he agreed to a TOS that required him to resolve any disputes with Disney through arbitration. Disney argues that this agreement applies not just with the particular Disney+ streaming service, but with any and all Disney subsidiaries; and that it was not just in effect for the period of the month-long trial, but a permanent agreement that applies into the future forever.
